mate, you have done it once again, one of my favourite bands and i love that song i can't wait to get home over the summer and jam that track. But seriously mate what an amazing cover that was, i love how you put your own improvisation in there as well really made it stand out a lot more. Great cover bruva, i love watching your stuff. Sean
Rhythmkid, in a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation), which he clearly used because his entire set is mic'd up, which means he had to run the mics through an interface, you can make the set sound like that using plug-ins like compression, EQ, etc. Excellent cover sir.
Yeah man ive been working on this to. Mostly because of how awesome Josh plays it in this vid. But anyway the pattern is RLRL KK. R=right, L=left, K=kick. Play the RLRL as sixtuplets and the KK as sixteenth notes. The way he plays it in that section is ( H= hi-tom, L= low tom, and K=kick) HHLH KK which he plays twice in a row. He sweeps his right hand down to the floor tom after its fist hit on the hi-tom. The way to get this down is to start slow and slowly speed it up. Hope this helped!
I can honestly say, as a fellow drummer, I enjoyed every second of this. The sound from the snare is impecable. The kick is punchy but not too out front. The toms are clean, I want this sound out of my set. The camera angles are unique. The drums are beautiful. The china hitting the mic cable was funny. I want that shirt. You play bare foot like I do. Clean fills, the face at 2:50, all around enjoyable and had me interested in something the whole time. Keep it up mate. Great work.
Hey man Its HCopelinDrumming and iv been following your covers for quite a bit now…. All of them have been flawless…. all i want now from you (and i probably have no right to say this cause of your skill level) is more emotion! Like the end…. the end was sooooo epic!! Keep the covers coming!
Dude you nailed it right on the head this came out sounding great love your drumming I was thinking about doing a cover o this sing too anyways great cover man loving the new angles. -Theo
I don't know what impresses me more, your drumming or the fact that you responded to that comment without getting defensive. Hah. I know the guy meant well, and to preface his comment with, "I don't mean to be disrespectful..." is admiral. This comment is pointless but I had to commend you because most people would have replied with opposite demeanor.
