Thanks for recording this and uploading. With the NBC crew doing the announcing I have to mute it because of the cringe, but that is an altogether different issue.
Not sure if this is the NBC crew in the video, but this commentary definitely seems fine! Already glad it's possible to even watch it somewhere, without spoilers.
@@FitwithAdrianThis is only Drew's 2nd 10k, so he doesn't have the world ranking or the Olympic standard (27:00). Even if he beat Nico, Nico would have gone to the Olympics because he does have the Olympic standard.
LETS GO NICOOOOO, been watching his career since hs so great to see him go the distance and make it to the olympics so excited to see what he can do I hope he has a big performance
Great race. TOO BAD THIS VIDEO CUTS OUT THE ONE MINUTE WHEN THE DECISIVE MOVE WAS MADE!!!! What the heck USATF? Though I did appreciate the announcing, not as bad as in the past.
I'm a fan of the Top 3, but I'm also a fan of Drew Hunter. Man, he ran a great race and came up just a little short. I feel bad for him. Hopefully, he'll get to go to Paris as an alternate to at least soak in the moment.
What a dram USA team in the 10000m. 1. Fisher, 2. Woody and 3. Nico. They are must then ready to face Barega and Cheptegei...Its time boys to bring back the Billy Mills Gold medal back to the USA, like in Tokyo 1964. why not?
I've never seen such terrible coverage of the last 400m of a 10000m race. Why would you pan out to the camera on the roof of the stadium....and use it to "focus" on the first place runner, exactly where the drama isn't???
Yes, because each of the top three finishers had already run under the olympic standard earlier in the year, which means they don't need to in this race.
Did Hunter have the standard? I don't hink he would have gone to Paris even if he ended up 3rd without having the standard. Or he would have had to run it after I guess?!?!?
I don't think they allow you to chase times any more. If you don't have the standard, or don't achieve it during the trials, then you're not going to Paris.
How did US time trials get an announcer which can't be understood by people in USA? Having an announcer from 'Frog Holler' in Kentucky would have not been not understood also, but he would've been an American.
What a US team! Fisher, Kincaid, Young. This is the most talented US 10000 team going to the olympics of all time. Dreaming of the US getting a couple of medals with this team.
i would love that buy only think Grant Fisher is in with a shout, and a long shot at that, have fingers crossed, and well done Drew Hunter battlng out at a new distance
