I was fortunate enough to tour with Men At Work and Colin Hay over the years, but 1996 was my first ever tour, doing 5 weeks playing around all of Brazil.
It was a special time, with many ups and downs, and lots of funny stories, and the band was truly great, with John "Watto" Watson (from Australian Crawl) on drums, and Steve Hadley on bass.
But I will always cherish making a wonderful new friend in the always chatty, big hearted, and witty Greg Ham. Seeing him again in this old video that has surfaced, has brought many memories of our times together. R.I.P. Greggy... I'm sure you're jamming your ass off up there, and regaling people with your stories!
The warmth, laughs, and hospitality of the Brazilian people will stay with me forever too. Muito Obrigado!! I hope to get back there one day.

In 1996 I was 22 years old but I remember all these videos on MTV in the middle 1980’s and sitting in the rocking chair and rockin out to Men at works videos, I swear that MTV was my Sesame Street growing up!😂 But my older sister had their first couple of albums, can’t remember what they were called, Cargo, I think was one of them. Maybe the first one was just self titled. But VH is the shit! Eddie’s the best! I just watched your most recent video of you playin Eddie’s live without a net solo, that was awesome! I subbed! Keep up the good work and Ed’s music alive!🤘🏼✌🏼

Hey Simon!!!! The year was 1998 and I bought the live in Brazil men at work album, which you were playing guitar! At that time, because of your tone, I definitely wanted to become a guitarist!!! I wanted to play and sing just like you did in the backing vocals!!! Despite I became a bass player, you were one of my very first rock influences!!!!!!! Some after unforgettable guitat tones: the chorus in everything I need, the riff of helpless automaton, the extremely powerful solo in no sign of yesterday! Can you tell the specs (guitar and pedals) that you used that time??

Congratulations I loved that band. Whatever happened to Strykert? Those first 2 albums were awesome. What happened? Did Greg go bonkers after that ridiculous lawsuit. Great live too. I'd been trying to get in this chicks pants for a couple months. Finally, thank Colin for me. He was that funny. Wonder where she is? 😂
