Had Issac not gotten trapped with 250 to go he’d have cliched that, he’s just got to get out a little more aggressive that first 200 so hes closer towards the front with 150 to go. He’s got the snappy speed, his positioning just needs to improve. I hope he makes the US team here in a few weeks

If you look at championship races, almost every one of the guys who is pushing the pace, doesn't have the kick and gets swallowed up by the field the last 100-200 meters. The championship final is made up of guys that are all fast (fairly similar times) and all of them can kick to a degree. Fine balance between sitting in (and getting boxed like Basten did in the semi who is one of my favorites), sitting at the back (saving energy but I lot of room to make it to the front) and setting the pace (have position but using more energy). Congrats to anyone who made that final!

@idahogreen2885 Год назад
@@tangarz5357well said my guy! Ive known nathan his whole life since im his dad, and let me paint a picture.....good kid, they found him on the football field in 8th grade playing free safety. He sets the West jr high record in one of his first track meets ever. And believe me, he was fast but good lord his technique looked rough. Coach Tim Severa recruited him right then and there while the sweat was still drying on his shoulders. Tim took him and crafted not only an elite athletic body onto tthe boy, he equiped him with a kevlar titanium mesh wrapped heart and mind. Fast forward to his senior year and he had taught nathan hiw to get up front, stay up front and how to stack up trophys, championships and alliances without letting it swell a boys ego. Now hes with Coach Andy Powell, a man who by any angle of definition you can dream of is nothing short of a winner, a motivator and a supreme positive influence on those around him. I mean look at his time in oregon, and it was no fluke cuz hes doing it all again from scratch, building a program to challenge the very best and acclaimed programs atnthe highest level of colligiate play. And its not due to my son solely at all, look at the T&F program now, champions and all americans across the whole team all areas, men and womens. That speaks of a culture and a philosophy that works and is making these kids better people for the back end of life, when the legs cant break records anymore but there still 40 yrs to go till the Lord (Or Lordess) calls em up on High for the Final Finals. Hes giving them much much more than just physical training. I hear my son speak and watch what hes doing and see what hes interested in and howmhe treats people and carries himself,,,,,THATS what i want out of my sons coach. Supplying him with the things that cannot be so easily pointed out. Strength of Character, Purity of Heart, Confidence in Self and others, Dicipline and Dedication ...and if a pile of championships, 1st team all americans and gold trophys happen too, well thats just an effect of the philosophy right? So theres the set. Top tier D1 program with an elite level if not completely unique coaching team led by the best theres ever been in Coach Andy. Heres the kicker , pun most definetly intended, that young man has speed, he has lungs, hes got legs. But hes also got something that his coach may suspect, and he dreams about, but i know for a gospel truth. Nathan has an absolutely BOTTOMLESS tank, (known), a savvy kind and a faith in his coach that is rare. And hes got one more gear that has yet to be shifted into. But its comin sports fans, and my boy WILL make history for this Country. And get his familys name put higher than his father could have dreamed of even down in his secret heart. When it happens you can say " yaknow, his dad trolled some guys on youtube back in he day and the ol man said nato would do this" when that day getsnhere you tip a cap to my son and UW an Coach Tim and Coach Andy, not me. he can run like his ass was on fire and his hair was catchin so keep an eye in him. Much love and light and respect to the whole world from right here in boise idaho from pat green. Ty for the support

@@Minecraftlol22 Rio 2016 won’t happen again. The winning time was slower than the current women’s 1500 meter record. It’s great centro won, but that time woke up his competition. Jakob often times pushes the pace to prevent the Kenyans from teaming up against him. Would say that collegiate points running can hurt future performance of American runners. Cole hocker has let himself get boxed in too often since he’s gone pro. He got too used to winning races with a blazing last 600 meters.

@@Foration3 “guarded his inside lane more” that’s not quite how racing works. Very common knowledge in racing that moving up the inside lane is risky Bc of situations like this. Despite that it was not a clear pass you can very clearly see that he used his arm to push Waskom to the right Bc there obviously wasn’t enough space for him, and you see waskom stumbles and fall behind him. The fact that he wasn’t DQed for that is pretty crazy considering ppl have been for less
