Look at Bolt’s smile at the end, despite the result, he had FUN and enjoyed himself during the race. This, ladies and gentlemen, is an example of a growth mindset. Bolt knows he can go back to the drawing board and clean some things up. You can always learn and improve, always.
Little did he know this was his last ever individual global gold medal. He was just starting to begin his journey as perhaps one of the most successful sprinters...
And in TWO short years, the world will watch as the Greatest Sprinter of All time, FLIPS the last two digits of this 200m Silver medal race of 19.91.. to a staggering ⚡19.19⚡
@@misterbreezeoftharedpillma1710 pfft... conspiracy theories from jealous fans. If he had PEDs in his system, they'd have busted him wide open. Bolt was a clean runner and IDC what any uninformed jealous fans say.
@@willstuart4504 pfft and us informed fans don't care what bolt-a-holics say either we know he took peds and either the technology will catch one of his old samples, he'll admit it or his records will be disregarded like the east germans
@@misterbreezeoftharedpillma1710 Why so Butthurt that Jamaica has the GOAT?? He's never tested positive. He never will because unlike most of the American Greats, not all but a lot, he choose to NOT cheat. That concept is obviously over the head of newbies like yourself . Nothing some random casual can say will ever change the facts. Believe whatever you want , it's always good for a laugh.👍👍
Well said... return from an injury and his B game was good for silver... props to tyson a great sprinter. He must run his A game against bolt always to have a chance.
Actually, it is the opposite Shane. He realized that if he paid more attention to his craft he would be the best. If you RU-vid 'Bolt and Asafa in Tottori', you will see the truth. The Bolt story is really a beautiful story for all humans.
@@Thejamaican495 He paid more attention to Steroids! Just remember Lance Armstrong never tested positive for steroids either! Athlete's don't peak at the age of 22. Usain got slower in the years that people break records. I know you love your country man & I'm not trying to shit on that but I know this sport all to well & Usain is not any different than the rest. He just hasn't gotten caught. Maybe one day someone will rat on him like they did Lance. The only difference is, I don't think people hate Usain like they do Lance & hence why people snitched on him! I think it's time to grow up. Btw, I love Usain Bolt, I'm just not naive to believe in another person running exceptionally faster than all the steroid heads of past, is doing it naturally! And just so you understand, Usain isn't fast bc he's tall. So let's stop that fallacy. Anyway, it's time to grow up.
Well considering he has a PB of 9.69 in the 100m which is better than everyone except Bolt's 9.58 and 9.63 and Blake's 9.69 I'd say his future was pretty gold.
@@IzakD8 True, Gay had a fine career. I was thinking mainly in terms of Olympic gold. I guess in a way he resembled Frankie Fredericks, a great career, but a lack of Olympic golds, due to the presence of greater sprinters.
Pihasanddunes1 Yeah he is one of the fastest sprinters of all time but got outshadowed mostly by Usain Bolt because Usain Bolt makes even the second fastest sprinter look pathetic compared to him.
He never really recovered from the hammy the next year and the hip in 2010..same with Walter Dix. They woulda never ran as fast as Bolt but a healthy Tyson was a legit problem for everybody.
@@Pihasanddunes1 due to injuries because Gay at his peak is a 9.6 9.7 sprinter which is gold but only Bolt was a main rival. So yes Gay's setback was injuries which came at his prime.
It was his first important world championship final... he was 2nd in the ranking and he finished 2nd in the final... This year Tyson Gay was first in ranking both in 100m and 200m... and he won both race
tyson admitted that bolt scared him in this race,, i believe him since he's never raced bolt in the 200m again after this. and he did say that the 200m was his favorite event
Spearmon just did not care Bolt and just gave little touch for the sake. FF few years and the same guy was looking at Bolt to get his attention. 2012 London,200m finals
Bolt showed his class, when his opponent won he came and congratulated him but what Bolt won, some Americans showed envy even though I've always supported the US tracks.
@@fluid_thoughts2782 Of course it's true for any major championship after 2007. Bolt came back in 2008 and broke the record against him in the 100m at the Reebok invitational and broke the 100 & 200m at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. And repeated the record breaking at the 2009 WC in Berlin, breaking the 100m against Gay again and the rest is just Bolt, Bolt and more Bolt!!!
@@DANT-E boy imma high school state champion 2 *... in college I'm a national champion and I'm a masters National Champion 100 meters What you talkin about I don't know track and field you crazy
@@sinsin1697 like I said, you obviously know very little about track and field. If you knew anything about track and field and you were a champion, you would appreciate what Bolt did for the sport and bow to his greatness... besides I never heard of a champion named Sin Sin
I have a question : what P.B had Usain Bolt in 100 and 200 at the age of 21, Answer : 19.91 at Osaka 2007 Final with maximum effort , can't find the one for 100m that year , So If Tebogo will be consistent and achieve the same improvements next few years , He is capable for 18.9X and 9.4X , and i hope So
Jeru B bolt definitely cheated 100% but so did all his competitors so either way bolt is still the fastest all time and one of the greatest to ever do it. Personally I still think Carl Lewis is the best all time because of his longevity, being able to sprint and dominate the LJ even at his 4th Olympics.
black oketree well, you don’t beat cheats by being clean. Plus it’s actually hard to get caught. Usually if you do it’s because you and your camp fucked up. All the cheating happens during hard training. All the recovery leading into major competition is when you back down and get it out of your system using masking agents among other things. The cheaters for the most part are always two steps ahead of the testers. When guys start getting caught it’s usually because testing caught up to whatever method they were using.
The same iaaf 2007 was a special one for us in SriLanka... 200m women The Gem girl ..Susi..Jayasinhe won the bronze after 10 years of time 1997 iaaf Athens there she won silver in 200m race..What a great athlete Susi is for.💖💖🌷🌷 us in SRILANKA..
Or maybe, just maybe he was a young man at the age of 21 who was just starting to peak in his career and realized the changes that he needed to make in order to improve.
Bolt in one year run in one second less, very very strange this evolution. I only saw something similar with Ben Johnson, from LA Olimpic 84 to Rome 87, he was another runner.
How is going from 19.75 to 19.30 runing "one second less" in one year? Further he run 19.88 in 2006. So your comment is just malicious and untrue. If you "only saw something similar with Ben Johnson" how didn't you see Florence Griffith Joyner going from 10.96 in 1987 to 10.49 in 1988 over 100m and that at 27-28 years of age. Or Carmelita Jeter going from 10.97 100m in 2008 to 10.64 in 2009 at healty 30 years old. Those results are on par with Ben Johnson. Where were you looking then? A hypocrite and a liar.
@@ivanamrki - And all those people you mentioned had one thing in common…doping. It is extremely strange how Bolt ran a 10.03 in 2007 and then runs 9.69 in 2008
@@Aruba-ei6xx to be honest, 10.03 was Bolt's first 100m race. Right? When someone starts training at something, he progresses at it very fast, do you agree?
Tyson Gay was the only man Bolt feared, that's why he ran 9.69 at the Beijing Olympics(No Tyson gay) and 9.58 a year later at the Berlin Diamond League with Tyson Gay.
He suffered injuries that year and that was his return. He didnt train months and months in advance to peak at the world championships. What we see in this race is a bolt at the start of a season
Bolt is naturally fast. The time that he ran in this race was what he ran at age 16. Injuries affected him for years he was just getting back to training.
