@@Seattle-Superchargers He has a obvious crazy split 43.45 somebody on Twitter said that Stephen F.Austin beat Baylor in the semifinals as well can you imagine AUSTIN using this as a recruiting tool!!!!!!
He has a chance to make history when he gets to the finals if he wins the race he will join the likes of Steve Lewis,Quincy Watts,Jeremy Warner as the only guys to have a NCAA 400M Title and a Olympic Gold Medal.
What a leg by Ross he really is special. Look where he took over the baton and look where he ended up. Amazing. Of course who isn't impressed by this little dude Robinson on the last leg with that amazing finish for 2nd. Great race.
Dude was in seventh place when they come to the back straight. Kept it just below red line on rpms. Crusied right to the front by the last 80 meters. Then red lined it to bring A&T the lead! And the brothers held that lead with effort! Awesome! SFA anchor though!
Anchor leg SFA is my grandson, I told him before the race ask God to anoint his feet and don't let them block him in. I'm super proud of him I thought I was going to break the television screaming.
Auhmad Robinson Is A Amazing Why Because I’m His Auntie And I Know How Hard He Has Worked To Become The Athlete He Is. USA Team In His Future!!! Good Job SFA Entire Track And Field Department
yes his effort was unmatched. Impeded at the start. Impeded and had to work around runners at 250m, an unusual incredible kick in the last 100m to track down Texas A&M Deadmon.
@@champking20 If SFA's 3rd leg was among the leaders I think Robinson would have caught Stewart at the tape and that would have been the biggest story of the meet!!!!
Just discovered that Stewart, A&T's anchor leg, is running with exercise-induced asthma. This makes his weekend even MORE impressive. He anchored in 43.7 at regionals so I was wondering why he ran so poorly in the open 400 and his anchor leg, in this meet. That is the reason. Towards the end of this video, you'll notice one of the coaches hand him is inhaler immediately after the race. Incredible!
They were the heavy favorite as they won the indoor title too. Some of their fans are disappointed as they knew they would win but was hoping for a NCAA record breaking performance which they did not get.
I could be wrong but don't look like that first leg got out there fast enough for them to break that record but the effort was there as you could see as he was coming down the final stretch before the handoff.
@@edwardjones717 that's not true the time they did in Regionals was faster but this time was faster than their semi time if you going to quote something let's be accurate
@@ericford4490 The time I'm referring to is when they clocked 2:59 and change. Now if you want to make the correction where it was done and when it was done then go right ahead. A strong A&T fan was predicting that they would break that NCAA record which is the main point I was speaking about.
3:16 - The heroic second-place anchor was nearly blocked! Teary-eyed, I watched this over and over again just for the way he made his way up, dodging and weaving! Wow!
As an H.U. alum gotta give much love and big-ups to A&T. Unlike the other showboat U. athletes, they came with a purpose. Just part of that HBCU character on and off the field ladies & gents...
Robinson killed it as anchor for his team! What a spectacular finish! I believe that split was the 12th fastest of all time. I hope he continues to improve
@@dennisrobinson8008 I believe the exact scenario is what made him run so well. Every race is different and that's why times fluctuate so much. But yes, you could be right
Yooooo A. Robinson shoutout to you my man, if you don’t get any credit the people on here we seen you. You brought that team back and you have some fire power bro. Only a freshman you gonna be special. You just motivated a lot of people with that comeback
Great race brother! ... to me you won that race, especially with how you had to be bobbing and weaving you had to be doing through thise taller running ... I'll definitely be watching your races and following your career ... congratulations on a job exceptionally well done!
Wow, watching this shit again an GahDamn the way A. Robinson ran so strong and controlled all the way around, and still gave the ability to kick like that at the end...Lawd
Brother Ross! Second leg. Dude was in seventh place when they come to the back straight. Kept it just below red line on rpms. Crusied right to the front by the last 80 meters. Then red lined it to bring A&T the lead! And the brothers held that lead with effort! Awesome! SFA anchor though!
Dude in 2nd doesn't exactly look like a classic quarter miler but man, what a final leg. You could see at 4:08 his team-mate was blown away by his leg.
I know Right!!! He looks more like the tutor that they bring along to keep their GPA in check.....I wanna think I probably intervened on his behalf when some bully wanted to take his lunch money and stuff him in his locker
Robinson literally showed us why we shouldn't give up regardless of what position we're in even when others count u out...... commentors barely acknowledged Robinson efforts
Wow congratulations AT and T you beat my Trojans wow what a leg by the little man in purple/ blue all just fantastic brought a smile to my face I’ll be there Saturday for the Olympic trails to see my son triple jump he hasn’t done it in years at all for playing pro football best wishes to him what guts and faith !🙏
how many wrong calls can you make in a single race? there are plenty of things to say. if you're not sure of something don't say it. no info is better than wrong info
yeah that was bordering on unprofessional. how is it even possible to think that was kentucky in second? anyone that knows college sports knows kentucky wears solid blue, not dark purple.
the commentating has been terrible for every collegiate event..just terrible. full of pseudo science, track myths, comments without any logic or sound rationale..very irritating to watch.
@@oldfrend he was thinking it was Kentucky because they were one of the favorites in this race as well an understandable mistake but he did say Step F Austin at once but he was probably thinking how so, considering they were a surprise making it to the finals in the first place. Even I got confused which man was A&T on the 2nd leg considering that USC and A&T both had Gold onesie
You can use the video as a reference point when he crosses the line it’s clear as day where the SF runner breaches the line. 43 anything is egregiously off even generously. Hell of a leg finishing that strong. But he has the baton at 2:16 high and cross the line at 2:17 and change. More of a 44 high but a strong finish boxed in can’t take away from that
ESPN should fire Dwight or solely contract him to discuss the high jump He *consistently* mixes up athletes and schools. The schools, viewers and fans deserve better!
@@edwardjones717 nevertheless Step F Austin didn't win the race is it's point. Many believed that USC or TxA&M was going to win the race but u refuse to give A&T any shine in any ur post u a hater dude!!
@@ericford4490 So in my post above that read A&T wasn't hoping for a win they were hoping to get that NCAA record And there was no question whether they were going to win? The problem is you are the one who didn't know that they were definitely the strong favorite to win this race? They won the 4X400 indoor championship plus they had the fastest 4X400 outdoor time in the world. Sounds like you are behind 2 years with who you may have thought was the big favorite in this race.
@@ericford4490 So am I really a "hater?" Or the truth is you are out of date and touch when it comes to the A&T 4X400m relay team? I don't expect to hear anything else out of you and you should have talked to me first and I could have told you what's up with them.
Sfa anchor was me running to my class when I attended there and couldn't find Parking though we all paid for those parking permits. 🤣 Awesome job though it was cool they were even there let alone get 2nd.
Norman, Kerley, Benjamin, Ross would be legit, you could throw Cherry, Deadmon, Stewart, Williams, Norwood to the mix too ... normally the college guys who run so fast early at NCAAs have a hard time keeping those performances up at Olympic/World races many months later in the season, but with the Olys so soon this year they could really be ready to go
