Their Fibre product does the job. Thick but emulsifiied well and distribution is pretty good. The trick is to use a close bristled vented brush and slowly shape hair to how you want it. This fibre product delivers texture, volume, low to medium shine and most importantly a good hold. Great product.
Between them both, I’d say their clay works best on shorter cuts to 2.5”...the fiber for textured styles past 2.5”. For me the clay fell apart on longer styles, but not the fiber I distinctly remember👍
Yeah the clay is better for short to medium hair styles but the fiber pomade is more of a grooming cream which is great for longer cuts. I feel like sometimes the marketing of these products can get confusing, for example their extreme hold matte product is really more like a stronger hold version of the fiber, or more of a waxy paste - not a totally dry matte finish though, as it claims.
Your stylist did an awesome job with your cut. Entering 2017 with a clean look! I'm curious if any companies have reached out to ya for your editing skills because they always add a nice finish to your videos. I was wondering what new goals you've got for both your channel and life for 2017. Keep up the great work Mike!
I received my reuzel clay and fiber a few days ago. they are both awesome! it's great that I can style my hair any way I choose without being limited like most clay and fiber products, and they both hold up great also give that natural look.
I love, how you know how to style your own hair. Most guys are clueless on what to do. I always show my clients what to do with their hair. Then they swear that 5mins to style your hair is to much time.
I love this stuff when first put on but in no time it gets soft as hell. Don't get me wrong, soft hair is nice for some but when mine is super soft it is practically on life support. You don't have much time to put this stuff on with this stuff from emulsifying to application to set up. Final review: Awesome for five minutes then very average
I have to wear a hat going in and out of work, but not during the day. I’ve been using Suavecito Firm pomade but it’s just a bit too heavy. Would either of these hold well enough to pop a hat on and off with distorting my hair too much? Pretty much just wear it combed back, not much bulk/height.
Thank you for the great review. I've used quite lots of pomade so far. I just saw these came up and caught my eyes. The only problem with fiber pomades was they dry after being applied. Does it dry after putting on the hair?
How do i request ‘point-cutting’? I asked my barber if she would do such and she didn’t wanna fuck with it. Btw i have a style similar to yours but a tad shorter with a low taper. Should I specifically request she ‘connect’ it as you referred to as your barber scissored your top? Thanks bud..love your reviews 👍
I didn't really see a difference between the 2.. what is the main difference? is the clay the stronger hold? i would have expected it to be the other way around
Ji Cottrill clay has a different finish. It's a tad more dry feeling in the hair. The fiber is more slick but has a similar hold without obviously the dry effect since it lacks the clay. Thanks for watching!
Edwin Gaitan they have similar holds but i would say Lockharts has a slicker feel to it, the reuzel clay had a slick application but a dryer finished to it than the Lockharts clay if that makes sense.
Modern Man TV Same length here but zero hold...And im being honest there is no hold at all.Maybe it is expired?i bought it 2 months ago from a barbershop.
wet look or dry? reuzel red is the best I've found for a slick shiny pomp. If you want a little more volume and texture with a matt look, reuzel clay (white can/blue writing) is perfect..
Modern Man TV I'm actually opening a shop next week. Gent's & Company barber shop is the name. I love her cutting techniques. Only saying she should try blending it out a bit more.... and reliability always play a huge part in picking a barber. Sometimes it's not about the cut, but the experience.
Austin Blanton thanks for the tips! It’s always good to have another professional weigh in. And if you have that mindset about experience opening your shop, your going to have a ton of success because a lot of places here where I live have failed to grasp that concept 👍
Modern Man TV thank you man. I just realized I made a typo and I corrected my original statement. I said she "can't" cut the top and I meant "can". My apologies. 🙏 She cut the top great and I loved her techniques.
Muhammad Alhadi that's because your clicking the link next for the grooming tonic in the description. There is one for reuzel's website that works I just checked it.
Modern Man TV I need your help. Out of these two products, which one would you say is more heavy and has more control. I have really thick hair and am trying to find a water based clay/fiber pomade that is somewhat cheap and has a lot of hold. Thank you!
