Hmmm..this is such a very deep topic. It's good that the Men are also be given the opportunity to Voice out.. Yes it's a patriachy society, but yet they have thier low moments, they've got ambitions too
Absolutely Miracle, Yes i agree that men should show emotions but it should not be overly done...as strong feelings been explicitly displayed could get uncomforatble & uncontrollable to,it eventually becomes an obsession for some women.. E.g..Your Man loves you so much that he stalks you at work, ensures he brings you lunch, wants to be the one to drive you, need you to always be his side, always in your space( Very choking).. I mean those lovely gestures should be appreciated but it should not be overly done to the extent both parties lose interest in each Other.
I would say that, the pressure this society we live in put on men are too much, the society expect men not to be vulnerable whereas men are also human being, and it is expected of all human being to break down at a certain point where they're frustrated. This society is not giving as much credit as they deserve. They tend to make it seems as if men too can't feel down and I see that as double standard
There is a difference between sadness n depression. Even though, depression is derived from deep sadness it still has it's own definition n weight. Sadness can last a day or few days n as soon as something good happens it is easily taken away n you're happy again. Depression is unending sadness. No matter how good the day is, you can't grasp it you can't feel it. Depression forces you to isolate yourself, it makes you get easily annoyed by people so you avoid hanging out with anyone. In that way, once you're alone, there's a voice that tells you to kill yourself. Tells you death is the only thing that will free you. In my opinion, depression is tied to a kind of evil coz anything that isolated you makes sure you can't get help by talking then tells you to off yourself, it must be an evil darkness. I'm depressed too btw.
I so hate when people preach selfishness to people who are suicidal coz you don't know what I'm going through, you'll never feel it unless it's your turn so for you to tell me to think of other people n tell me to live just because other people will be hurt by my death is selfish to me. What would living for other people do for me when I'm the one who's in pain? If I die they'll hurt but it won't be anything new, people have died before n we hurt then life continues.
