I remember reading a cocktail blog that was talking about all the different types of drinks that James Bond orders in the novels (there's a whole lot more than just vodka martinis), and they mention that he once even ordered a cocktail that had creme de menthe in it. That is NOT a manly drink, but I guess if you're James Bond you don't care. I'm female, so nobody's gonna judge me if I order "girly drinks", but I don't like most of them because they're too sweet. The only sweet cocktails that I like are tiki cocktails that have a big kick from all the rum in them.

Men are raised to never express emotion and to never show weakness, for if we do, we're no longer "manly". It's so bad that fathers will degrade their sons just so their sons grow up without showing any emotion. This also leads to men judging others because if one man acts like this, it "endangers" the masculine stereotype, and if men seek help for when they're feeling depressed or sad, they're considered weak and unworthy. We're also taught growing up to take all responsibility, that it's our job to take care of the family, our job to take on all the burden of daily life.

For everyone saying "masculinity so fragile", do you realize that guys feels this way because of what society tells them ? Instead of making for of them, you should encourage them to embrace their masculinity by having drinks like that. It really takes guts to do that in public because they will be made fun of. We'll tell a girl having a glass of whisky to embrace it, but as soon as a guy is having a cosmopolitan, it's less of a man. Men are discriminated by double standards too.

Trigger warnings are generally required for ppl with ptsd or other disorders related to anxiety and panic.... you know who often suffers from ptsd? Soldiers. You know who soldiers often are? Men. Also the safe spaces are because there's a high rate of sexual/domestic abuse against women. I've never understood why people care, let people drink what they want. How the f is a drink girly even, and is it really so girly that it would turn a man gay or female or whatever the 'manly' guys are afraid of? +John Porsbjerg (John-chan) Um, no. No one pretends anything perhaps some guys do but liquors such as whisky, scotch, wine, or even tequila have a very nice and refined taste. In fact some people actually have collections of these liquors to the point some look for the oldest drinks such as the well sought after malt scotch that is said to have a great taste when aged well. Perhaps some men don't drink "girly drinks" often to try to maintain some "manliness" but by no means does it mean they don't like traditional drinks. I myself have a whisky/wine collection because I'm captivated by it's taste, every method gives it a different taste and feeling.

The difference between the attitude in the start and the end of the video is huge. If the sexy scale was not moving at the start, it skyrocketed at the end. Yes, you should see a man confiden to put an umbrella behind his ear and walk around a club with a drink like that as a threat, because that's hot. Confidence is hot as hell. And so is a man that doesn't give a crap about what other men would think of them drinking a "girly" drink. It's tasty af. Be confident af. And women will love that.

i wouldn't even call that "confidence" as much as rationality. If someone thinks he is soo above a cocktail umbrella or a drink because of the shape of its glass, I would just say he's thinking irrationally simply in favour of tradition, and that's pretty unattractive.

I don't understand what is so girly about things. Why can't men drink a cosmo or sex on the beach? I was at the bank one day and a man was fighting with a woman about why it was so bad if his wife sent him flowers at work. That man really wanted some flowers. And he made valid points. The girl couldn't even really answer back with anything else but "Your fire fighter friends (The guys) Will make fun of you." The dude didn't care lol. It was funny. He obviously finds flowers pretty manly! I'm sure he would drink those without care of other guys picking on him. lol.

+nearwuzhere The way I see it, is even though drinks aren't really "manly" or "feminine", what's so bad about non-mainly or feminine things to begin with? What's wrong with being feminine or liking "feminine things"? If you like something, and if it tastes good to you, that should be all that matters haha. And if people judge you just ignore them or own it. Usually they back off.

I would *LOVE IT* if my wife sent me flowers at work! I send them to her several times a year...Valentines, our anniversary, and her birthday, of course, but sometimes I just pick a random Thursday and send her a trio of roses or something, just because. But that's how it's 'supposed to be', according to some people. Us guys are supposed to try and be romantic all the time, but hey...news flash, we like it when the women in our lives are romantic back. And no, I dont just mean with surprise nookie or a wake up BJ. Sure, those are awesome, but hey...send me a potted plant at my office or a cool bouquet, just to let me know you're thinking of me too. :)
