Mera: good motives and backstory, you can sympathize and feel what she does and says Zora: you’ve yee’d your last haw buckafuckaroo

Oh, this entire scene with the revelation of her Epithet was unfairly emotional, heartwrenching, saddening, but also genuinely, well, scary. Those last seconds were a gutpunch.

whenever I rewatch epithet erased, I always get chills when Indus is telling us about Mera and her epithet gets revealed.

she's one tragic antagonist, i kinda feel bad for Mera...

I loved how emotional Mera's backstory is. It not only tells you about the pain she has gone through, but it makes you feel real bad for her. It also provides insight that not every epithet is great and that some of them can be deadly. I hope we get to see Mera in season 2, even for a little bit, just so that we can see how she is doing and if Molly forgives her. I know that it would be very hard to forgive her because she was going to take Molly's epithet by any means necessary, but Molly also helped Mera a bit at the end of episode 4 which to me says that Molly might forgive Mera a bit.

Mera' story is so tragic. Imagine being born with an illness or affliction that caused you nothing but pain since you were born. Now imagine that the one thing that could Dumb down the pain was given to someone else. What if you could steal that which gave your body a break from the pain, but at the cost of someone else losing their power. What would you do? She's not a bad person, she's just been dealt a really shitty hand and is looking for something for the pain. Not to justify her actions, but I get where she's coming from.

I was genuinely worried for her when Potage bashed her into a wall

When someone's epithet is "Suffering"

This a very fitting theme for Mera, someone who feels like her entire being could fall to pieces at any moment, yet the music sounds like something is being pieced back together to become stronger and better. While her powers could try to break her apart, her resolve is unbreakable.

*Set to 1.25x* speed to feel a fraction of the anxiety and panic Mera must've felt when she learned her inscribed Epithet word is Fragile. When the crescendo builds at 0:59, it's like the world is crumbling as she falls into a panic attack. *Set to 1.50x* speed to play out the panic attack, share the utter hopelessness and tears. There is a sprinkle of hope in the climax, only to be quickly crushed by another thought of the complete certainty in her fragile future. *Set to 1.75x* to experience the absolute belief that she is powerless to change her fate from beginning to end. *Set to 2.0x* to hear the fabric of her thoughts rip and shatter. The climax again sets in stone that her body and soul are never going to heal and you get the sense that this panic will not go away for a long, long time. I re-wrote this comment twice because I accidentally closed the tab the first two times :( I don't think this version is as good as the first, but I can't remember how I worded it then. I've listened to this song probably 30 times while writing this because I put it on loop to hear the various speeds over and over. Gotta say, 1.25 is my fave because it lasts the longest while still inducing the right amount of anxiety

you can feel Mera cracking her stat card near the end of the music

This is such a beautiful song to listen to.

the part at the end of Quiet in the Museum where this song faded in over Change of Plans as Mera ordered Indus to grab Molly was a huge “oh sh*t” moment, change my mind

This soundtrack is great. Best scene in the series purely because of that.

I love how dramatic and intense it gets at the 1:00 mark

My literal only "nitpick" with Mera is that her profieciency is only 5. Was already an amazing moment, but would've been crazier if it was the first to break past 5 stars.
