Mendocino Mountain Camp - Life on the Road

In this video I leave Washington State and move into Northern California to find a camp in the Mendocino National Forest. We stay at Fouts Springs Campground. Fee was $2.50/night with the Interagency Pass. Nice campground with vault toilets and trash dumpsters. We stayed for a week and had a great time exploring the area on our motorcycles.

*My name is Brian. I started living full time in a self built camper van in 2014 in my hometown of San Diego, CA. I hit the road full-time in 2015 to pursue seasonal work and travel around the U.S. I find free camping on public land and enjoy photography, hiking, biking, and kayaking in nature. I've got some of those California Quail @12.34 running around my property here, in New Zealand. They were introduced here back in 1862, and are now found over much of the country. Sometimes have up to a dozen of them at a time!

I love that you ride a dual sport. I just got a CRF250L to bring on the back of my RV. Great to explore nature while using a fraction of the gas a 4x4 needs. RV gets much better mpg not having to tow a 4x4 too. I even figured out how to haul the moto and bicycle at the same time using an RV ladder mounted bike rack. Life is good

Next time you're up in mendocino county, check out Cedar Camp. It's remote, free and amazing. It's between Davis flat and Letts lake. You take a shorter road in, though.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful adventures with us Kelly and Brian. 5 yr full-time nomad here in NZ. Very small country here and I tend to run out of places to go and get a tad bored at times, but am very thankful that I have lived to the age I have and am still able to do what I do. I'm sure that I don't need to tell you, but do enjoy every single moment together. I do a lot of talking to myself on my travels, going solo, but it is what it is!!💌💌😊🤭 🤗🚐🌏
