Thank you. I like Pu-Erh but cant afford the high price range Teas like 300 Euro for 300 g or more. So i drink the cheap Pu-Erh Teas. They taste good in my opinion. But i like to learn. Thank you for sharing.

I have an very old 7542. Soft hand made paper wrap. Do you think you can estimate how old the tea was from?

Very educational! A must know for all pu heads. I was wondering if you knew what the 8th tea factory was? seems to be a few. Also like the new background music.

+Eliott Jasper 8th, no idea. I know there was Nan Jian & Xiaguan back in those days for sure, also some others I haven't heard of. Scott @ YS does a good vid on pre privatised factories

Hi, certain Menghai Tea Factory cakes seemingly don't display their 4-digit number, like the one in the link below: www.tea-masters.com/589-3462-thickbox/1997-printemps-menghai-tea-factory-7542-galette-crue.jpg These are the ones I've seen around the most online. Does the information come on the inside of the paper or somewhere inside?

How does the V93 Tuocha fit into their code system?
@GreenTeaGuru
@GreenTeaGuru 4 года назад
It doesn’t, only the more traditional cakes follow the coding. it’s a newer recipe, without checking probably 1993
@GreenTeaGuru
@GreenTeaGuru 4 года назад
Mind you the V93’s will have a batch number. Example: 1501 is first batch of 2015

+antokat Hi, maybe I'll do a video on that. Generally Ripe tea is made of lower value material so the price is cheaper to begin with. I think that demand in old Raw cakes are higher and as time goes on there are less cakes available which is a factor in the higher prices. :)
@GreenTeaGuru

+antokat no problem. Where are you from? Maybe your looking at Aliexpress or TaoBao? There are fake teas on there, I don't know of any cheap 40 year old tea!
@GreenTeaGuru

+antokat no, it's absolutely fine to drink, all are ok to drink with no health risks.
