Hi Süheyla, it is a different instrument, but it’s the same tuning. Do you like it more or less? It’s probably just my playing, or the difference in microphone.

Hi Jeff, what's the difference between the a akebono and a minor in sound? It's hard to tell over RU-vid and I can only afford to buy one.

Akebono is a Japanese-influenced scale, and A minor is relative to C Major. Both are only one not different.

They do not sound the same. Different scales, but there’s only one note different. In my opinion, Akebono is a bit more mysterious and slightly dissonant at tines, where the a minor is a bit more familiar to European and American ears.
