What a horrible transition our body puts us through. 😢 the stabbing chest pains, heart palpitations, anxiety all these I hate them. Lots of shoulder pain too. Ugh! Yes, the dizziness and anxiety has also made me not go shop alone anymore either. I can’t drive too long either. Thank God I work so close to home. Thank you Kari once again. ❤Many blessings. We need to stay strong women! We can do it!
Exactly, heart palpitations, chest pains ,shoulder pain and anxiety, all these horrible symptoms come and go .I don't go out alone either .I have to go out with my husband shopping . anxiety causes me dizziness or vertigo ,especially in crowded places .so frustrating.
Same to me I suffered all of the above....insomnia hits me... Now I tried to go workout to make my body tired and I can sleep well then i will see if it's working.....menupause period makes us crazy if we don't aware this symptoms..
I have all these symptoms. Haven't been able to drive as the anxiety and heart palpitations scare me. Shoulder and head pain also is so uncomfortable. Had an ECG, eco and CT scan on my head. All results came back with no issues. Doctor said it's just menopause. Oh well!
Anxiety and panic attacks hit me out of no where. I didn’t know what was happening to me. But my first symptom was brain zaps, like electric shocks. Menopause is evil!!!
@@KariAnneWrightHelp!!! I'm going through menopause and have had about 6 months of traumatic events happen. Can my anxiety raise body temperature like a low grade fever but no true fever and other no other health concerns?
@@two4u443 I’ve done videos on feeling feverish when your temperature is actually normal and feeling like you’re coming down with something but an illness never materializes. I call it the menopause flu.
Yes! Right now it’s my #1 issue! Been having it for about one year. Can’t miss my PPI. I also try to watch what I eat. Coffee is my main culprit. Also raising the head of my bed helps.
A heart payment to you Kari Anne! ❤I stopped about 6 months ago. Then all at once, I went through a divorce, lost my loving caring Dad, and moved to another state while my sweet undiagnosed untreated borderline Mom reached the pivotal point of her fear of abandonment in losing my loving Dad. I had sudden fear, rage, confusion, intrusive thoughts, always had hot flashes, memory lapses..oh the list can go on! Lol, and I’m a trauma therapist. ❤😂Helping others helps me.
So grateful to you 🙏. I have spent the last few years being dismissed by my doctors. It is all making sense now. My Mum died aged 42 so I had no template for this. I am 50 and I have been very confused since strange symptoms started at 45. I am in the UK and there is nothing as honest as your videos here. You are a star ❤
Yes, this just goes to show that more women should educate themselves on peri and post-menopause. It's a condition that doesn't age discriminate, so more women should know about it. I'm 45 as well, and I'm experiencing a few of the signs. I'm sorry that some women don't take you seriously.
Ugh! Blood pressure up and down! And yup stupid palpitations! And thw anxiety and panic attacks make BP even worse! The never ending light bleed that occurred daily for me and resulted in awful medical tests and a round of synthetic hormones that I turned out to be allergic to! Ended up on heart meds for a while to correct the effects of that! It was awful 😞
@@kristenklinghardt6824 I am ok now. It's in the not so distant past. It was a very traumatic experience to say the least. I was not informed about how painful a biopsy is and the hormone sent my BP higher than it already was as it built up in my system.
43yo, 8 months of bleeding 3 weeks out of the month. Everything from single day super flooding to spotting once in the morning, then nothing the rest of the day. No pain. No abdominal swelling. Just constantly having to wear a maxi pad every day just in case. Already went through the wild brain fog, horrific mood swings, insomnia and night sweats phase. I'll be glad when I'm done for good.
I also had nothing for 5 months, then bam! Very heavy period that's lasted ages and now I took am bleeding on and off every day, keep feeling that's it s the end, then more heavy for one day, then nothing, then again and this has gone on for the last 3 months! It's neverending😮 hope it ends soon for you x
"menopause is such a bully"...such an apt description 😢 is random mouth pain a stop on this train? Just outta nowhere, a month after dental check up, intermittent throbbing but no bad tooth?!! sheesh I thought I had experienced all 100 symptoms...
@@transparentfilter Yes symptoms can last for years but everyone is different. Some women don’t struggle for years and even feel better in post menopause. Have hope!
@@KariAnneWright, I'm grateful that I found your channel. All the women I am around apparently just woke up one day period free and have never dealt with any negative side effects. I have almost everything you list in your videos. Glad to hear that I am not alone!
Thank you so much Kari. Im suffering so bad and literally have every one of these symptoms. I also have anemia. I actually checked myself into a mental hospital for 5 days because its been so bad. I have always been the rock in my family. I found your channel and its the only thing that gives me a little relief. Im so grateful for you.
I was hospitalized in psych ward three times this year. 2.5 months total. I’m still suffering and can’t take most of the meds. Only low 10 mg Prozac and Ativan I feel like dying every day. Periods come every two or three month since last year. Now I got only one day light spotting. I’m 47 and rely on my son and mom. Can’t work.
What made perimenopause worse was it coincided with the pandemic. It was so much scarier. Yes I stopped driving because of the panic attacks. I am having a hysterectomy next week due to Adenomyosis pain. I am crossing my fingers this all will start to head the right way for me.
You described all of my symptoms that I just experienced today alone! You are such a blessing 💜💙 you are making me cry with relief. That I am not alone and that I am not losing my mind. I did go to the ER a few weeks ago because of a panic attack. I am so thrilled that I have found you. Hearing your symptoms and others, make me feel a little more at ease knowing this is part of getting old.
Palpitations, nite sweats, clumsy, panic attacks, constantly losing things, high blood pressure, pains, heavy periods etc add adhd my whole life not a great combo
Thank you for posting about these symptoms, I have just been made redundant and am terrified about getting a new job at 58 and feeling like this, am now scared to drive my car or do any basic things re dealing with people, anxiety through the roof, but knowing other women out there are going through it helps a lot ❤❤❤
When you come up with something for anxiety and dizziness let me know...also I feel off balance when walking....anyone experienced this and have a solution
Years ago, I was having PVC’s … not quite the same as palpitations, but still scary as hell. Drove me to the ER more than a couple of times. I remember doing the treadmill stress test and the Dr (male) asked me if I was in menopause. Told him no as I was in my late 40’s, but now I know I was in perimenopause at that time, and thinking back am shocked that I was asked this by a male Dr. So he KNEW !
Very scary indeed , I was driving a few years back didn't know I was in menopause well perimenapause I had to pull over some where and my heart rate was extremely high and anxiety and panic I had to wait awhile before turning around to go home , that was a terrible thing, I cried the entire way home driving, i found out last year I'm menopause from two docs, perimenapuse had mid life crisis too last year ,I pray alot these symptoms of perimenapuse is terrible, I have tired numerous meds , and found out I have cow milk allergy which I'm sensitive too , , I'm trying to work on my gut issues and hormones and all thyroids , my periods are terrible reractic , I have tired bc pop progestin only first day worked next days no , there is talc and how much strong lactose in it I don't know but magnesium stearate is bad too , I'm sensitive to most meds , so I been reading and researching this stuff, bc and food allergies can make you hypersensitive and be sick , low iron too , constipation and diarrhea, I try not to get to stressed out , I have gad and it can be manageable however when your gut is off and low in iron from river bleeds it messes with everything, plus had covid last year no good for me just made things worse , anyways I try to make sure to read all labels in OTC and meds in general I can't take most meds to many chemicals and my body reacts, however I ordered some non GMO Brazilian buts magnesium selenium in it and so on and idione potassium drops ,and gut repair powder, and vit d gummies it's a start I can't wait to feel better soon , I'm also a single mom of three my oldest tries to help, it's alot going through this change , I had to stop bc it's making me sick and I read up on it too , no good chemicals in it , so gut and thyroids and change eating habits again , I have good days and I have not so good days but I'm glad to know I'm not the only woman going through this, I'm in my early 40 and I believe this started in my late 30 it just gets intense more than before, I watch this channel so there is more support and make comments, thank you for taking your time to read this , I don't really drive anymore either and the brain fog is real too, I never really thought about menopause or perimenapause until I found out it came out of nowhere and is more intense
I’m so so so glad to run into your videos. Palpitation and air hunger are the worse for me so far. I didn’t know how to explain it until your video. I thought I was making it up. Thank you for this video. Keep sharing. It’s so helpful to know I am not alone.
Sending love to all women who struggle with those horrofic symptoms...for my part actually i feel much better but i really struggle with cold sweats since the beginning .. sweats, sweats, sweats, sweats, again and again ! Still have to change clothes few times a day and night ! Less palpitations, less fatigue, less pain , don't feel anxiety or panic at all, but sweat, sweat, sweat ! I live in water 24 hours a day and i feel always dirty so i take showers...and i'm cold while i'm hot at the same time !I I never know how to wear because of my "cold- hot" "cold- hot" body !!🥵🥶🥵🥶🥴🥴Thank you kari for everything !
Thank you so much for these videos they helped me alot because i thought i was going crazy.I have all of those symptoms. And I also had to get some depression medication it took me there .I pray for everyone that go through Menopause God Bless 🙏
I had a attack like that too in walmart, I bent down and acted Ike I was looking at something on the bottom shelf. I know this now so I do go shopping by myself sometimes, I like to, but if my man will come with then I have someone to focus on.
Hi Kari- you are really helping myself and others suffering all of the crazy menopause madness. Thank you for your education and encouragement ❤It’s rough most days but with your videos it really helps.
Thanks Kari. These videos always reinforce to me that I am not losing my mind when all the tests come back normal, and I still feel this way. The anxiety is the worst for me. I would just like to feel normal again.
Thanks for your videos! I shared them with a Turkish friend of mine. The females in our families never talked about any of this ,we always wonder how they got through it. Menopause symptoms seems to hit us when we have teenage kids and elderly parents to take care of which makes everything way worse . Hang in there if you are in this situation! I felt short of breath whenever my husband ( 6'7, 220 lb)hugged me at night. He told me to just push him😅 I am so glad that it passed!
Thank you so much. 💐 This is very good to know. Thank you so much. 💐I guess doctors don’t want to be this informative about menopause just in case the symptoms are not menopause. Thanks again.
It is a COLLOSAL tragedy that women in this age of medical & pharmacological breakthroughs that these horrific symptoms cannot be addressed for all women. This video describes every single symptom I have. I have never been so anxious and scared in my life! Thank you Karianne for your channel. Its been a huge help knowing I am not alone! Bless you ❤
If you are bleeding heavily after not having a period for a while that is a problem you need to see your doctor about. That happened to me and I mentioned it off hand “I thought I was gonna bleed to death. Haha”. He did not laugh. He put me on some hormones until my periods stopped all together. He said that needs to be managed because it could put me in a position where he might have to operate to stop the bleeding.
Omgosh the air hunger is horrible for me right now especially when I'm trying to talk causing an irritating cough! I'm trying to drink all throughout the day to keep my mouth and throat from drying up, cough drops, etc... However, the trade-off is being in the bathroom constantly, lol. I did find a good collagen made from bovine so it's a start. Thank you for your advice on last video about dealing with digestive issues with collagen. Love your channel and have shared it with my friend who's entering perimenopause. Hoping she can get the "jump" on things early that I never had a chance to get when after a partial hysto and told "oh you won't go through menopause now!" Liar! Can I slap you and send you back to school so you won't lie to anymore women now?" Geemanitely!🙄🤦♀️(as my grandma used to say)😂💜
Have you kept track when the bouts of air hunger hit or is it constant? For the last 5 months or so mine hits ten days before my period is due. It's weird. But this time it hit the day before my period hit (and my period was 4 days late). Man, it's a pain going through all this nonsense!
@jbell9179 I had a partial hysto back in 2008 so that wouldn't affect mine. However, I have noticed the more bad carbs and caffeine I consume makes it worse. I've just been slowly trying to get rid of my coffee in the morning and cutting out processed foods which seems to be helping for the last 2 days. We'll see if it lasts, lol.
I experience a lot of these things and it is frustrating to go through. The most common now is forgetting things so easily. Where did I put my phone or what did I come in this room for? Things we have to experience going through menopause.🙁
Memory problems are new for me…I’m glad to know that this is part of post menopause and not something more. It seems as though this new memory lapse has gotten worse for me since this month started. I gave a had some women over my house to teach them how to paint with watercolors, and I could not remember what the name of the techniques were called! Thank God I had the ability to show them! The stabbing pain was in a weird spot…in the bottom of my heel of my foot! Although I’ve had upper stab’s too. Thanking for sharing all that you do w us Kari❤️🥑🌶️
Its so terrible this change and perimenapause sometimes i dont feel like myself it came all of a sudden hard , i been going through this intense systoms for quite long time it originally started in my mid early 30s like 33 or 34 but not this intense , i cant wait till this is done no periods eractic heavy heavy no low iron no up down up down hormones and thyroids im hanging in there and i talk bout it and try different things to better my health its a roller coaster, one thing i noticed is your gut and hormones and all thyroids have a huge part , if you are low iron its messy with hormones and thyroids and if your gut mirco off it can make it worse , i hope this helps someone so far this is what i have been researching and keep changing your eating habita fond what foods work the best for your body , when i was told i was menapause a year ago but its been longer than that nothing was explained to me of nothing so these videos and research has helpful, i ordered some gut repair powder its made by a real doctor along with his story , all these years on antibiotics had no idea i had a cow milk allergy which they say im sensitive but it can effect your gut thyroids and hormones, i stopped drinking soy milk no good for no one its bad messes with thyroids and hormones, and i ordered some idione potassium drops organic to help with tyrouds and Brazilian nuts and take vit d gummy daily value and get alot of sunshine, keep trying, i now know im not thw only one going through this your not insane crazy or selfish Thank you for these videos and your comment too i hope this finds you today ❤🙏
Nailed it. I've been waiting to see a video mentioning the sudden heavy and long periods. I've been peri a long time now but have had zero period for nearly a year. Thinking I was in the home stretch, I suddenly started getting a period heavier than any before, longer and with debilitating cramps and nausea. I can't believe I have to go thru this and start all over again at the age of 51 to wait for the periods to subside and stop for an entire 12 months to get to meno. I've been had the heavy periods 3 times in 2 months.
I get brain fog, putting things in cupboard that belongs inside the fridge, the thing that bothers me is me losing muscle mass at 54y and loose skin around my arms and mid thighs 😢 then sweating at night soaking the pillow and my clothes...then I experience sudden chills after few hours all during the night
@@Karikk72 same here..hotflash, chills, sweats and moods..brain fog and joint pain(?) do you have the same.. getting loose skin..I call it grandma skin..and I'm shrinking...is that normal
I regularly get palpitations and sweats. I've had the pain below the left breast a few times but it feels more like a stitch like after running. Vertigo is a very regular thing with me but since taking a vitamin B12 supplement it's not as bad; and it's improved my sleep. And my daily 60 minutes of walking is essential for exercise and vitamin D.
I have been bleeding since february of this year With maybe a two week break in between The entire six months. It is now September and this is the first time i haven't bled again yet. I bled severely heavy last month so bad.I soaked through three diapers the first day 2 diapers, the second day and 1 day for the 3rd day.Praise God , i'm not Bleeding anymore so far it has finally stopped and given me a break for at least two weeks now. I hope i'm done, for good . The dizziness 😩 has come on strong. I will get very lightheaded and feel like I am high, but I don't even do drugs.
Thank you for your informative videos and for your compassion! I recommended you to my little sister just this week because she was suffering so much with menopause too. We're very grateful to you. Knowledge is definitely power. Thank you! ❤
HELP!!😮 All comments welcomed. I'm going through menopause and had 6 months worth of traumatic events. The anxiety and panic attacks worse the past 2 months. I have a low grade fever...but no a true fever showing or any obvious sickness. I've read that this can be stressed related.
Panic attacks are brutal on perimenopause. I've many more perimenopause systems. My pet is very sick and I just broke up with my partner of 11 years today. Last week I'd my dad's 6th year anniversary. He passed away suddenly massive heart attack on 39yh August 2018. I'm in hell. 😢
This is very helpful! Thank you. My cycle has been all over the place since 2021 and I've stopped for several months just to start again. I had a scant two day in July and cramps but no cycle in August. How I hope I am finished! I've felt like I'm losing my mind with every symptom you name, plus now I've developed pneumonia, so you can imagine how I'm currently feeling. Thanks for validation and comaraderie in this bleh club. 😔
My goodness I hope u get better, food allergy of cow milk I have , didn't know now I'm trying to work on gut repair powder made by doc , idione potassium drops organic, Brazilian nuts non GMO changes of eating foods and in the past antibiotics that have high milk in it I no longer take made me sicker , Im going through perimen I was told menopause smh the symptoms are terrible I don't feel like myself most times the brain fog is terrible anxiety and panic attacks low lack of iron from heavy eractic bleeding, I tell you what I have tired antidepressants body rejects and I get sick with infection and I tried progestin only bc found out why I'm sick and my gut has been roller coaster talc and magnism stereate strong lactose , I didnt know and now I don't take it anymore bc of the side effects qnd being allergic to that crap , the gummies multi and vit d gummies I take does not have that yuck chemical in it either , man oh man , all these symptoms of perimenapuar into menopause is awful but hang in there , keep trying one day at a time if nothing gets done try again , rest and walk in nature bare foot breathe , I hope u get better soon
Omg, I've been worried I must have cancer, kidney disease or something else that's killing me. Turns out, it's perimenopause. 😮 I'm 46, and have been experiencing so many of these symptoms, and doctors can never find anything. My husband thinks I'm a hypochondriac. The air hunger has been happening off and on since January 2020, and I thought I must be getting a heart disease 😂 Thank you for helping me feel less worried!!!!
I take supplements but i still every now then have low, then high BP. I have foggy brain. Heart palpations sometimes and some dizziness. Social anxiety at times. Some days i feel good and the next day its hard to function. I have poor balance and my feet gait is off. I run into the side of walls sometimes. I have trouble breathing at times and digestion and bloating problems. I keep my faith in the Lord Jesus hoping to have a new body one day when He comes back, that will be a perfect body. God bless you Kari 😊
I love your facial expressions, you would make a great actress! It does make me laugh, either that or I’ll cry! Thank you for these videos you are helping so many women, bless you ❤
Thank yu ! The symptom list is just endless. I get super tired, then cold and then poof ! Gone and wide awake. Lightheaded sucks. Tingles suck! Pain in chest sucks! It all just sucks ! It’s a beast !!! Or as my friend says…menopause is a bi**h ! 😂
Thank you, Kari, for all you do to bring comfort and knowledge to those of us suffering from the effects of menopause. What a workout! It's definitely not for the faint of heart!
I feel me revolted! I have 61 years now, but my perimenopause It happened around my 50s until my periods finish with 54. I suffered a lot mainly because I didn't understand what was happening to me and my friends with the same age said with them nothing happened. I had panic attacks and had to start taking antidepressants on the recommendation of a psychiatrist. I started to have high blood pressure, connected to anxiety, and no cardiologist raised the hypothesis that I was in menopause. I had all the symptoms you describe! Now things are much better, but I cannot forget the fear and the pain. I'm glad I found you, because it seems that menopause is (or was) a kind of taboo in some countries and cultures. It actually seems that Nature has made us expendable.
I am experiencing those symptoms except for the bleeding.😊 Now I'm adapting and doing well..thank you Kari..I sleep 8 pressure normal cholesterol good sugar reading excellent..and still those symptoms..it's part of the unwelcome aging process 😅.
@@KariAnneWright Hi Kari..sleeping will only if we put out of our the stress that menopause comes with 😊..include natural magnesium from foods..I eat soaked almonds ,sunlight half HR I eat a banana sometimes before I head for bed by quarter to nine well ripe! That's my secret 😁🙏
Thank you once again for a great and comforting video. You're a light in the darkness, Kari Anne. I'm all for doctors and psychologists and all that when it comes to the medical stuff but when it comes to support, nothing beats an average woman with experience ❤
My worst symptom, is one most Dr’s have never heard of. I get cold flashes: so I can’t get warm no matter what I do, and this causes a horrible feeling of bugs crawling on my skin and even biting me. When it happens I’m so desperate I take my husbands muscle relaxers and even have to take an antihistamine both of which may or may not work. I get it mostly in the winter, the summer I have them once in a while. Btw- never had a hot flash once. I’m 47 on HRT for 4 years.
Before the menopause I used to love going on dark rides at theme parks, now I can’t , last time a few years ago I felt I couldn’t breathe there was a slight wind as we entered the dark ride and I could not catch my breath, had to hide my face under my t,shirt and try to concentrate on my breathing throughout the ride, spoilt it xxx
I had sporadic palpitations that got worse after my first (and only so far) panic attack. When I mentioned it to my doctor she was assertive, and I had ekg’s and a echocardiogram and more ekg’s, all normal. The cardiologist essentially told me that the palpitations are a perception, which I had previously experienced when I took my heart rate when I felt palpitations and it was in the normal range for me for the most part. I take a low dose of propranolol, 10mg bid, and it’s helped with the palpitations and anxiety and adrenaline/cortisol surges and headaches. A dose any higher gives me nausea fatigue lightheartedness
Everything you have mention I have gone through and now I m struggling like anything with my overacting bladder and chronic UTI problem, please help me mam .
Issues with utis in menopause can be related to vaginal atrophy. Have you tried vaginal estrogen to improve atrophy? It often improves uti occurrence and other bladder problems.
@Yellow-oc4sl my adhd has never been managed and this just adds to it. When I told my GP I had brain fog she referred me to a psychiatrist and said the only thing that can cause brain fog is mental health issues. I said I am 53 can't it be menopause? She said we'll go see a gyno then or a psychiatrist.
