Hello mam, i have tried to insert mentrual cup several times with different folds but it didn't worked for me. I want to use it from so long but i m not able to insert it.Can u tell how i can get that inserted properly and plz suggest the best menstrual cups which we can trust, i tried the wow one but it didn't helped.
The hymen and virginity concept is a stupid social norm made by society. Hymen doesn't represent your virginity. And virginity is not where you place your respect or worth. No matter what your virginity status is you are a very worthy human being.
@@itsme-ez3ng True man , I never really understand why do they think that from using a cup they might lose there virginity and even if it's true I would rather lose my virginity to a cup and enjoy a tension free period than to my partner

thank you so much Miss, as a seventeen year old I had a lot of questions about female hygiene and periods and your channels takes every topic with such care and love, it's absolutely commendable !
@@Siddhi728 i am 16 and i am using it since January believe me it is too much comfortable my first experience was terrible because i was so much scared and not have so much information of female external genetalia btw i have lot of info but theory only practical doing is obviously different so i was thinking a lot and stressed that's why i was not able to insert it but after knowing about my body and giving try in my 3,4 menstrual cycles i was able to use it and now it is so comfortable for me sometimes it leaks so i am finding solutions of leakage here i am here to know that what i am doing wrong sometimes that leads to leakage. Don't be stressed try it in totally relaxed state and first find your vaginal opening using finger once found insert half finger to understand the internal structure of vaginal this will help you to not inserting cup in wrong direction or wrong way hope this help. Btw all the best
Some of these questions has made me realize that many women don’t know a lot of things about their bodies and there is a need for proper research and better education regarding it.
Maam you have no idea how much you are helping people especially girls and women these things ppl usually avoid taking about and usually feel shy but the way you explains is so beautiful..... Your videos are too worthy I feel it's really the space where women can talk about their health keep going maam lots of love🥰🥰🥰
Using them for the first time now... I already feel much better because there is no itching or wetness and you don't even feel that you have worn something
I've been using a menstrual cup since 2 years now and would highly recommend anyone above 21 to use it without hesitations bc it's literally the best thing you can do for your vaginal health, your pocket and the environment. It feels easier to use and insert if you're sexually active but that's just my personal opinion. I'd also like to inform anyone who wants to try menstrual cups or is new to them that please don't leave it inside beyond 12 hours bc that can cause Toxic Shock Syndrome, even though that's extremely rare. I've not personally experienced it but I've read about it and wanted to share the same! :)
@@snehald5165 there's no thumb rule. I meant that anyone above 21 would feel more comfortable and confident but if you're younger and really wish to try it then you must first consult your gynecologist and then go for it!
You look lovely today Dr. Anjali. I tried menstrual cup for my last cycle after watching your video and i love the experience of it. Surprised to learn how we can avoid so much of non-biodegradable waste that otherwise every woman creates on a monthly basis. You’re absolutely right about using different sizes to understand what suits us best!
Your voice is therapeutic in itself Ma'am. And yes you look wonderful in this dress✨ You spread such great knowledge. Keep up the good work. May your channel grow more and more 🖤🖤
Mam please make a video on vaginal dry lips soon.and it's home remedy or any dr consultant if required.dryness causes drought flaky chapped itchy and swelling skin.
Oh waow! It's amazing how we can learn so much from a single video in this channel. I have always been skeptical about using menstrual cups or tampons over a pad. But I thought giving up on pads though and go for tampons 'cause I was quite scared or ignorant about the menstrual cups. I had seen many RU-vidrs say that menstrual cups are safe and best actually but this video definitely gave me enough assurance to try it out instead of tampons.
Thank you so much Dr.Anjali for clearing all my doubts.😄. I have started using the menstrual cup😁. I am 16. Altough it was little difficult at first but now I am never gonna switch to sanitary pads .😅. My elder sisters are still not using it becoz they find it a little dangerous. But when I explained them after experimenting with my body. They are gonna definitely use it.😀. Thanks again. Atlast i sould like to say that many of my friends denied to use it and I am very sure they will understand the importance of it asap. In the end I would like to say that women body is a gift by the God. It's precious. I am gonna help women around the India with this sort of issues after I will do MS in OBG.😍. Hope to meet you soon Anjali ma'am.😉
Hlw Ma'am, I'm a studying in 12th. You are My favorite Doctor Ever ❤️. Earlier I just Thought that I wanna be a Gynecologisit but after Watching you I think , I wanna be a Gynecologisit like YOU ❤️ . I'm very Inspired by You 😘 😊 .

Perfect advice mam, god bless you... Channel where one can get to know each and every thing about women's health. Without any kind of myths... Strongly agree
Just a suggestion... You didn't mention why deep breaths are important, and How they affect the vaginal tissues.. when I first started using the cup I could insert and make it pop open. But couldn't remove it without pain as I was suffering from anxiety. I think its crucial to trick the vagina by faking a relaxation 😄 it could help people who are afraid about not being able to remove the cup.
When we inhale, the muscles(every cell in the body processes what it'ssupposed to do in one intake) relax which leads to them expanding. It's basic respiration.
@@user-bt4md9ck1t period blood is just blood+ dead cell debris from the endometrium. It's not living and so just flows out under the effect of gravity. Sperms are living things which have energy in them. They use their energy to swim through the vagina, cervix and uterus. There is a hormone called prostaglandin as well which helps in contracting the uterus, because of this the period blood falls out under the effect of gravity. The same contraction helps the sperms to swim upward.
In my family actually a few aunts use some pills (I don't know what they are called) to delay their periods so that they are able to perform rituals on a few occasions and those aunts have taken it frequently and the side effects they had was one died due to ovarian cancer and another is not able to bear children the doctor said no eggs have been generated can you please talk about those pills and side effects
@@shivangihere9141 I was worried too! It doesn't stuck inside or something, it remains still due to the vaccum and in the beginning it's difficult to remove, it will cause u pain. Just don't get scared dear. Hold the tip of cup and slightly remove it.
Hi Dr. Anjali, first of all thank you for starting such informative channel. All the videos have been so useful. Can you also do a video where you talk about the different color of bloods in periods and what they signify?
Mam, the cup literally changed my life... I'm so happy with it and thank you so much for your suggestions and informations regarding the cup, that helped me a lot.❤️
I started using from today...its one of the best decision....i regret using pads for so so so many years. I recommend every mother to teach their growing daughter amd educate for this menstrual cups. Its best thing u can give to ur child.
@@chaitanya.sharma I'm also using sirona..but it's leaking again and again..i don't know why? Because of the size or I'm not using it in the correct way?
@@nazneenbegum2309 This cup is on the softer side so if you have strong muscles (is usually the case when you are physically active- by playing sports etc) then it will leak for you. In such a case you should go for stronger cups. I have a sedentary lifestyle so this cup works fine for me.
Ma'am I have a question- Is it compulsory to boil the cup at the beginning and end of every cycle in order to sterilise it or soaking in hot water is enough?
I wanted to ask if we have only spotting at the end of period can we still wear the cup or should we switch to pads on last days of periods when there is a chance of only 5-6 drops of blood in a day. Does less bleeding kill the vaccum ?
So i tried using in the last days and no it doesn't feels weird or disturb the vaccum infact it's great because using pads would irritate the skin and menstrual cups are just great
@@Leadorhell5265 hey i have a ques, does our blood really not flow back through cervix ? Im asking coz sperm flows through cervix but not period blood !! I mean...im confused
The best information about menstrual cup... I was searching for detail information about it... N my search ends here... I am very satisfied mam and I have decided to switch cup... Thanku so much 😊
Hey Doc Hope you are doing well I always had this one question when the idea of switching to menstrual cup pops up in my mind, which kept me from buying the menstrual cup! "Whether it can affect the sex life in the long run? Like, though it is a soft silicone material, it still is gonna stay inside for 5 days i.e. 120 hours😕 So can it cause a gradual widening of the vaginal lumen? Have there been any reports or articles mentioning such effects? Because when I started researching about menstrual cups, I also read that when a cup that u are already using, doesn't form a proper suction inside, you must go for a bigger size! So that means it IS causing widening of the tract! Please do enlighten me on this whenever u have time! Really need to know about!! Thank you ❤️
The best one would be while inserting just check two things -1. The stem of the cup isn't irritating you after insertion . 2. When you try to pull the cup it isnt easily coming out.
Mam, I have lump inside my body ..From last 3 year due to stone pain .. Doctor apply injection then I got to know there is hard things in my bump .. I scare it can be cause cancer ..?? Ma'am please reply me ..
Finally I saw someone having the same query. I have seen a lot of videos about it and never seen anyone answer this. Would love to know the answer too.
@@amfee8223 it's a small, fleshy circle with a tiny hole. Before your periods the cervix is very low. The good way to know if it's your cervix is to check before and after your period. After your period it goes up again. When you insert your finger inside your vagina you can feel a thick fleshy thing that's basically your cervix. If you have any vaginal infection I would suggest not to try self examination ...try after its gone.
@@kartikanair Ohk I got it as I inserted my finger I got touch with thick fleshy tissue, but it's position is so low in my body, how can a menstrual cup fit even though it's small
mam. if we put a rubberband for long time it will leave marks and it will be painful.. as the suction is forming i am afraid that it may harm the skin where the boders wld be resting. is that so?
@@vaishnaviv4824 There is no such evidence but vagina itself is very elastic and easily accommodates the cup without pain. I use the cup with a stem and the stem is constantly pressed against my vaginal skin and it causes no harm or pain. I hope this helps.
Silcon works differently from rubber and vagina is extremely flexible and has tendency to collapse hold things. It is not same a skin out side body. This comparison cannot be accurate as anatomy of vagina is different.
audience asked very good questions and all questions are very well answered … i started wearing cups. I did not have this many questions but some of them are really good to know.
I also wanna be a gynecologist, but I'm 14 and so can u please make a video regarding distarctions and how u used to studies when u were also a student, pls.
A friend of mine started using the menstrual cup recently and she says her cup starts leaking after sometime and when she wears the sup she actually checks for the suction of the cup and it seems all good but after some time it starts leaking! I wanted to know what could be the cause for it and how to have a hassle free period 😃

Dear Dr Anjali since you're a gynacologist can you please make a video on your work life balance and how you've been doing it for so many years. We as young doctors would love to know that aspect about your life.
Hello ma'am, I have a question. What if my period comes when I'm out of the house? I won't be able to sterilize the cup by boiling. What can I do then?
Hello mam.. I have a very serious query.. My mumma is having bleeding even after menopause from last 2 months .. And also she is facing hairfall .. Please tell me why these all things are happening?? And please let me know how I can help her to cope up with these things?? Please Make ur next video about Menopause and it's effects..
Come on girls.. It's not a big deal! I could make it in 3rd attempt. In First and second attempts failed to open the cup inside. Don't think too much. Buy one and use it. There is nothing to be worried. I want every women to be in the same comfort as I'm now. This is a wonderful invention 😁😁
What is a safe alternative for cleaning your menstrual cup other than cleaning it in boiling water??. ( since we might not always have a provision to do so). Thank you for all the valuable information on this channel ❤❤❤
Hi, It's really great to get the benefit of your knowledge and experience. I want to know, whether the use of a mentural cup can cause back pain? I used Tampons and I had noticeable back pain whenever I use them.
Thanks a lot ma'am for providing us with so much of information. This is Priyanshi from Vidyagyan School, Bulandshahr. Ma'am I am spreading awareness to use menstrual cup. So we would be very grateful if you can take out your precious time for us, so that students can get the answer to their questions. It's request for those also who have used the menstrual cup, can give their valuable feedback. I will be glad to receive some responses. Waiting for your response.... Thanks dear ma'am.
Mam you are doing an amazing job of spreading awareness 👍. Question ❓ Is there a need to wash the cup with a soap or Dettol or any other washing liquid for regular washing everyday or just washing with water is enough?
