They cover almost everything which is happening in the country in a humour way which is the best thing in their video. Review se zyaada unki baatein dekhne to aate hain
I have loved all the reviews by you two except this one. I felt there was a kind of bias that was constantly let you NOT review the movie and review everything else. The movie deserves so much more respect for the issues it touches upon and the how beautifully it mixes "horror" and delivers social message at the same time. It touches upon witch-hunt, patriarchy, sexual violence, child marriage, etc and I failed to understand whether you couldn't see it or didn't want to see it. You are better judge of the technical aspects of the movie which might have been average but as far as the content and the absolutely powerful delivery of it, I guess just for that the movie is so relevant and a must watch for all of us. We as a society need this kind of content again and again.
You're absolutely right...and along with , I'll like to add something more- the cinematography, costume design, feel of late 19th century Bengal, the resemblances with Tagore's novels and characters...everything was superb...shubham and zain complained about not using that much Bengali, but if they used more Bengali, non-Bengalis wouldn't be able to relate with the dialogues...
Agreed with you..sad part is they didn't get the movie..this movie was more metaphorical than literal..the red filter was relevant and it happened after bulbul came back from death.. there's a very similar Bengali novel like this movie..where the spirit of a Devi goes inside a girl in danger and protects her later on..here instead of protecting, she seeks revenge
Bulbul is definitely not a below Average movie it is beautiful in the folklorian way it is depicted. Unlike most horror movies the horror element is different. The red color resembles a horror folklore. And if they really depicted more bengali culture you wouldn't have understood.
Here's my 2 chawannis. If horror isn't scary it isn't horror. I don't care what the deeper artistic themes of a film may be, if it fails to achieve what it set out to do or what it claims to be, then it just failed. Her ankles are rotated because she was beaten? Really?I'd rather they gave the age old excuse of it being a basic characteristic of a female ghost. Lol. Bad movie.
I still dont like him, he can never match the chemistry between zain and shantanu. Even i have seen that they cut each other off in almost all videos. Now compare it with the old videos
Bhai Jin logo ney shantnu ko dekha nhi vo Bina dekhe bol rhe shubam best hai. Jab sey shantanu ney show left Kiya hai mere ko bhut kum hassi atti hai inke joke's pay. But iska mtlb jeh nhi ki shubam tatti hai vo bhi bhut asha KR RHA hai Zain sey toh lakh guna better hai
Just saw Bulbul..... Loved it! Scary in places, Shooting, Performance, Story, Acting, Plot, No Songs..... All was too the best.....!!!!!! Aur haan TRIPTI pe CRUSH ho gaya mujhe.! 😍 She's soooooo beautiful.!
I actually binge watch Honest reviews, I like to watch them even after watching the movie.. love the excellent sense of humor of both of them nd their observation power. Shubham steals the thunder, everytime. lol
Loved n loved the film, performances n attacking old rituals n customs. Loved their Laila Majnu , now respect them more for their acting skills. Stayed with me for long.
As someone who barely watch a movie, I found it the most amazing movie I've seen this year apart from Thappad ofc but after watching this I'm insecure of my choice anyway it was nice to see you guys back in the studio also guys please review dark season 3
There’s nothing to be insecure! We do meet some people in journey which we regret having any relation with them The more toxic people you meet the more aware you become about what is wrong. How to detect the toxic person And you know more clear image about what you like about another human! At the end its a movie which runs for 1 or 2 hours Movie cannot tell u enough about toxic people than your own experiences! And also sometimes it us who become toxic ! So even we should check our behaviour towards others!
Bulbbul was gothic literature about social issues...not conventional horror, a metaphorical horror wherein the horror was supposed to be the journey of a naive girl who trusted the wrong people to a ruthless vigilante, the horror was supposed to be the atrocities that occurred with her and other girls of that time! The idea that she became "chudail" was a metaphor for her becoming a ruthless woman who would resort to killing men who tortured women, from the innocent naive girl she was. The idea of "chudail" was not a literal chudail who was supposed to fit the physical description of chudail and chudail feet, it was supposed to be a metaphorical chudail, who is basically a rebellious woman that goes against the societal norms. (Inspired from the story of Goddess Durga and the real-life incidents such as the Salem witch trials, where rebellious and outspoken women were legit burned alive on allegations of being "witches" because they refused conformity) And she was never in love with the younger brother either, that was the whole point of the movie!!!! She loved her husband and was loyal to him, her husband's little brother was her friend because of similar ages. Her innocent friendship and love for art and adventure were used against her by society to make her seem characterless or immoral, which eventually led to her husband's anger and jealousy. The feet becoming reverse was also a metaphor for the way she was, she walked a path that was laid out to her by the Indian society which treated her like the property of her family to be disposed of and then her husband. I loved this movie, it showed a sad tale as a metaphorical horror story, which is sadly the story of millions of women in India, both historically and now. And no it wasn't a love story or a psych thriller either. This movie was heartbreaking and amazing, surprisingly still relevant even though it was shown in the backdrop of the year 1881.
I never thought that I would like these guys when I first watched... But today I love them.. They are talented and have good understanding about everything on every topic they are fair
The movie was so good.... How can zain not praise the movie... Plus he liked love aaj kal 2. I will definitely stop watching your review if u give such untrue review.
