Hi I need advice. My dog had an ultrasound and was diagnosed with bilateral kidney degeneration, as well as something going on with the liver. The vets didn’t seem overly concerned since her bloodwork was fine. But I’m still treating her Dr. Harvey’s raw vibrance as per the instructions I got from the doctor Harvey’s team. I want to know what kind of snacks I can feed her. As treats that will be easy on her kidneys and liver. As well as to get a little extra calories in her, my dog is a picky eater, and even when I try, she won’t eat more than one scoop of the mix base that I put 2 ounces of lean meat in. My dog fluctuates between eight and 10 pounds and the vet recommended that it bare minimum. She get 215 cal based on the calories in the mix and the meat I put in she’s only getting 148 cal if I put in 96% lean ground beef or 204 if I give her lean ground chicken, either way, she will be short calories so I’m hoping to find some sort of treats. I can give her in between to add those extra calories that she’s missing. I am thinking of moving to 90% lean ground beef, which is combine with the basics and subtracted from her total calories only leaves 45 cal left which I can just give her a bottle of organic baby food applesauce, which would bring it down to 5 cal less. If you could get back to me, that would be great.
