Also, I have a phd on neuroscience and one of my goals in my career is to find better treatments to hopefully help those like you and my family member feel better and have less side effects from both meds and the illness itself
Everything you're mentioning is completely valid. Easy access to guns, the system pushing medication...etc. And it's SO frustrating. I treat everyone with respect and love. I don't believe in treating people badly. I'm so sorry you got bullied, I got bullied, too. So I can sympathize and empathize with that. I have schizoaffective disorder and I would absolutely rather hurt myself than to ever hurt anyone else. I have a family member on my mom's side and one on my dad's side that both have some form of schizophrenia. Both come from huge families though and a lot of different mental illnesses run on both sides.

Thanks, I really needed to hear someone talking about this things. I empathised a lot with you. The little you told. Maybe it's time for me to just accept I'm not okay, stop being so stubborn, and just get some help. Like, don't freak like most people do because I've a super mind control thing, and over pain, and my body, but, hell, how I hurt and despair on the inside.
I'm in a heartbreaking scenario. I know I've been misdiagnosed with schizophrenia since 2013 for the last twelve years. I have complete normal daily functioning, but I have this strange spirituality where I get my doctors channeling through me, it's only undermined as being psychotic symptoms but I can entirely differentiate that it's not and this only started 8 years after being incorrectly diagnosed. I know the motives for why I made my mistakes that lead to this dilemma, they don't even know my personality, I'm a stranger to them. In some sense it's better to actually have schizophrenia than live with the lie of being challenged and under rotative sanity. My narcissistic father tries to tell me I'm disabled based on the diagnosis and it's even more defining from a superficial perspective when I'm still with a existential crisis since leaving high school. There's already other issues that diminish esteem beyond mental health, I'm fully giving up on my creative dreams it's saddening.

I got diagnosed with schizophrenia and in July I went to the hospital and stayed the night there and went home the next day and I hate it and I have other special needs and the voices in my head saying to hurt my family and I don’t want to do that at all and I am 21 and do you want to be friends

I really hate that saying "they just want attention", like it's something bad. You're here talking about stigma when you're encouraging the stigma that led to it happening in the first place. Yeah these people want attention. If they would have got the attention they wouldn't have had to do it to get the attention. They have been begging for attention/ some kind of recognition or validation for a long time, but nobody would give it to them. You do realize a lot of mental illness is based in judgment. Whether that judgment comes from other people or from within ourselves towards ourselves or others. So again you casting judgment on these people increases their mental illness as well as your own. That is the true danger of the stigma.
