Oh man, that UI description is much needed because I still get confused how units, abilities and structures works in this game. I also hope they would add target's strength and weaknesses, similar to C&C Generals so I wouldn't have to look up a wiki to find out.
Red Alert 20XX and Rise of the East mods also run in Phobos. I can't wait to be implemented to Mental Omega. The Foehn Shield is inspired from the Shield Upgrade for the 3rd Optional European Support Power not choosing the Nova Tank in RotE.
I have wondered if Mental Omega and a Twisted Insurrection will use Open RA, when the RA2 and TS mod/support is implemented, but I do want to see how this turn out. I do not feel that they have to use Open RA very much because of this.
that description tooltip for me is going to help alot understanding support powers, for Foenn i have almost no idea what each one does and is always a guessing game where allies i know a few and soviets i know, but get icons mixed up so i sometimes just use the wrong one in the wrong way thinking its the other
Man, I wish there were a port of this for OpenRA's engine, but the RA2 mod is still barebones, and another project built on it that's more further along (Romanov's Vengeance) is still a heavy WIP. :(
OpenRA also has a fatal flaw: it doesn't read the original games' INIs or mission maps. Meaning all these neat MO3 and other mods' missions would have to be remade from scratch.
So, I can install Phobos directly on top of Mental Omega and it will work straight away? I'm looking for some holidays modding, but I don't wanna spend days to just make it run the first time.
