Labour loses Bangladeshi vote + Bellingham saves England + the resistible rise of the French right. Gutless Farage dodges the debate Follow MOATS on YourTube #Bellingham #Starmer #Bangladesh #Farage #Mélenchon
I clicked swiftly on this, because some friends and I were discussing yesterday where Galloway stands in the French elections. We didn't know, but most of us tipped for Mélenchon ("unbowed"). Glad to have that confirmed, Mr. Galloway! This video will be shared.
I don't think there is any 'left' in power in the western world. its center-right, right, and far right. Left to me in on the side of workers. A workers party. Nowadays they're all corporate parties.
The left and the right inevitably change over time somewhat, the 40s left was different to the Victorian left, the 70s left was different to the 40s left and the 2000s left is different to that. I myself would say I´m centre-left on social issues, I´m to the left of George Galloway on those, but to the right of the more extreme SJWs. I´m definitely strongly on the left on economic issues though, I think that anyone who denies that the capitalist system is basically rigged against working people is kidding themselves
@@Minimmalmythicist The whole world has embraced free market capitalism. Socialism was gone at the end of the cold war. All you can do, is to make capitalism fairer than it is by redistributing wealth fairly by making those who are well off pay more tax than working people.
GG is a Tory! Tory (n.) 1566, in English state papers, "an Irish outlaw," in 17c. especially one of a class of Irish robbers noted for outrages upon English settlers and savage cruelty," from Irish toruighe "plunderer," originally "pursuer, searcher," from Old Irish toirighim "I pursue," from toir "pursuit," from Celtic *to-wo-ret- "a running up to," from PIE root *ret- "to run, roll" (see rotary). It also was used of a hector or bully, and of robbers or bandits generally. About 1646, it emerged as a derogatory term for Irish Catholics dispossessed of their land (some of whom subsequently turned to outlawry); c. 1680 it was applied by Exclusioners to supporters of the Catholic Duke of York (later James II) in the dispute over his succession to the throne of England.
Its weird, im right wing in terms of tradition and what not but im also quite socialist as well. Im not sure if this is a natural state for me to be in or if it's a unconscious reaction to the smeared out, vague and dishonest rubbish thrown at us by the uniPartarians. A long term project to condition us to go round in circles. To view motion as progress, to see treading water as an accomplishment. I'll be voting for the workers party. I dont even know if yous have a candidate in north Edinburgh ward. Lesley Hinds auld seat. You'll ken her George but she's retired now but still had the edwardian gaslight outside her house.
Macron, Sarkozy and Hollande have a lot to answer for, they´ve helped enable this a lot, by aping the far right´s rhetoric and enabling it. After the recent terrorist attacks, Macron could have been statesmanlike, he couldy have said "this is atrocious, of course it is, but we´ve had plenty of terrorism from other groups, we´ve had plenty of Corsican terrorists, yet we don´t think all Corsicans are bad people, there´s plenty of Italian terrorism, yet we don´t think all Italians are bad people". He could have said, "this is exactly what people in Syria are fleeing". Instead, he committed some very inflammatory acts, including projecting images of Mohammad on the walls of buildings, which is actually inconstitutional in France (the section on secularism says the govt can´t get involved in religious controversies, such as whether it is OK to depict a prophet or not). He rightly deserves to go down like Franz Von Papen and Paul Von Hindeburg, not a fascist, but certainly a fascist enabler and a slimy opportunistic politician.
Hollande was left and Sarkozy and Macron were just the same. Allowing mass immigration. They were undercover leftists. Crafty bar stewards aren't they. All pro EU or pro immigration are liberal left. Just 2 different factions.
