This video is about my experience going to the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) for my ASVAB test, this test decides if you have what it takes to join the armed forces and later on decides what jobs you are allowed to choose for your new exciting career.

Great video. Only thing tHat I know was wrong is that not all applicants take the cyber test only ones who score high enough on the rest of the test qualify to take the cyber test. I only know this because my recruiter told me before I took the test.

I’m retaking my AZVAB test again for the 4th time Tomorrow 😑 But it’s always math that screws me up I’m so scared because if I fail then I have to wait 6 months.

Good Luck!! Get some good sleep tonight!! Eat a light breakfast and make sure you do a study re cap for about 20 mins before the test so that your brain is ready and prepared to answer a bunch of question! Out of all the practices tes to have taken for the Marines I failed the first time for the Navy I got a passing score now I'm done with picat I'm just hoping I pass

I went to MEPS for the first time last month to take the ASVAB for the Air Force I scored a 25 because I felt rushed and I was the only one testing. So I had to wait 30 days to test again. I felt like MEPS was about to close so I felt I had to hurry. Plus I had two more tests and was wondering do I have to take the other two test again?

If you want to get in the Air Force you will have to re test. You will need to go back and completely restart the test and take your time.

Good information, also could you plz describe more about Cyber test, and where take a look an example of it, I've never hear that ppl had to do it. Thank you.

The cyber test at meps was pretty much a bunch of computer questions and about the technology. A lot of cyber security related questions and how to protect your computer. I don’t have an example test I can link but from my memory that’s the most I can remember about the cyber test.

@@senddeee1451 never have disclosed anything, but if it’s a cyber test it would have to be computer or internet related material and would more than likely be about how to protect your computer. I also do not know if it was 100% the cyber test you are thinking about I may have had a different type of test.

@@AirmanNick I was just messing bro. I left meps on Tuesday and swore into dep Wednesday. Btw how many months was it after you swore into deep until you left for basic?

@@senddeee1451 2 months after the physical I was shipped off to basic training. I know some people who got shipped out in 2 weeks and others that waited 6+ months.

I missed my timeframe for the Picat , is it absolutely necessary to take the Picat before the asvab ? Or can you go to meps just to take the asvab ?

No it is not absolutely necessary to take the Picat before the asvab. I have never taken the Picat before, only took the asvab and then got my job. That’s for The Air Force atleast.

PiCAT is a take home version but you still need to do clarifying questions at MEPS, if you miss the time frame, you can still take the full ASVAB

I'm fine with any sort of engineering or mechanical job, but if math isnt my strong suit, would I still be able to enlist?

Yes you could I would suggest studying for the math section more before taking it. Also talk with your recruiter about which mechanic and engineering job scores in the math section are needed for the jobs that interest you.
