Congratulations and thanks for sharing! On average , how heavy was your backpack and what training did you do leading up to your expedition? Was it easy learning how to rappel? Thanks again !
i did hire a porter, so my backpack is around 3-5kg only. Basically i just jog as training. it's easy to learn rappel, the climbing guide will teach u.
great video. Thank you for describing peaks you can see from the summit. Almost no one does that. Sadly the wind was too strong and it was hard to understand everything
Thought about doing this trekking peak about 30 years ago but decided against it. Wish I had now, didn't think I would be able to manage it. So at the age of 68 I thank you for showing me, that I could have done it after all.
Well cool, congratulations! How hard was it? I can't tell how steep all the drops are from the video. I went to annapurna basecamp (vid on channel) but I want some more height next!!
If you are fit and exercise frequently, it shouldn't be that hard. But instead of going for this, I would recommend going for island peak from which you can gain more technical skills
Amazing feat, congrats! I am amazed it only took 8 days. I want to maybe do Mera Peak or Lobuche East Peak but all Expeditions I find say it takes 20 days :( Which Guide did you book for this Mera Peak expedition?
