I am experiencing the same EXACT issue you are not alone. This issue has been happening for months. I had to use my K-tag to clone the EEPROM. If I remember correctly, I used something like commander 11.2 or an abrites software VERY very old.
Tim - I am working on an AMG with a 2.81, and I am starting to wonder if the FBS data is at fault. I programmed a key (several) as well as emulate one, and cannot get passed the Computing Data Please Wait. It never finishes;. I have virgined the EIS, ESM, but not the ECU. And connecting to the ESM is hit or miss - much more often miss than hit, and it is the module that is refusing Start Enable. W220 Facelift. Any ideas?
Sounds like a bad ESM, we have seen a few of those go bad lately... not sure if people spill fluids on them, or the fact that they are just getting old... You can pull the module out of the shifter and virgin and personalize those just like the other modules...
Ive experience doing this in a used ecu, after virgin using Avdi. I copied coding file, and wrote it before activation of ecu. When I check scn file using Xentry I still see the original scn code. Should have it change scn,?
Well, I first opened a ticket back on 10/12/2020.. I will never say anything bad about the wonderful folks at Abrites, they work there tails off on developing software.. But when they update the base software, I think the REM out lines of code that have a specific purpose.. Hopefully they will take a look at this video and fix the code.. The ME2.8 is in a lot of cars that are going to independant shops now, and there is a large need for those of us who can virginize and personalize these used modules.. Haven't been called on many DAS4 module replacements, most of those are going to the dealer..
