Can you help iam a bit confused my car is 180c kompressor 2004 and it hasnt got a dipstick and i want to add some gearbox oil which i thought normaly is the red one but i saw you checking the red one to see if is to the maximum so how do i top it up the black one or red one? Thanks
The video it’s about changing the engine oil not transmission fluid. So may be you need to look for a video that shows you how to change or top up the transmission fluid on the model of your car.
I have the same car, been struggling with lean conditions at high rpm, I have changed one pipe sitting under air box. Are there more causes to the lean? I have Also noticed screeching æ/ squeeking/ rubbing noise from middle of car When driving slow
Hi there are another two hoses seating under the super charger that can cause lean conditions as well as the one you already replaced. Also the PCV valve can be faulty. Hello to all viewers, has any one successfully drilled into the hex top of this filter casing, fit it with a threaded elbow + tubing, a pressure sender unit and route to a 0 to 150psi oil pressure gauge on the dashboard?. There is one podcast on drill into the filter casing of a CLK230 to install a pressure sending unit. But the filter casing, for CLK, under it has no obstruction and lots of space for fitting in the connection required. Regards.
Hi I never attempted to drill the casing, why do you want to fit a pressure gauge, do you do racing or something like that. Hopefully someone can help in any case.
@@DaringBeefcake Someone put i Up in U-tube on drilling onto oil filter casing, for his year 2000 CLK, to fit in oil sensor and route to a pressure gauge mounted to the A frame. His filter is the large old style type. I am a bit determined to keep my last year purchase, of 2006 built, for at least another 5 years. Will likely put in 10,000km annually. It recently had just accumulated 200,000km. Engine oil top up is not more than 1 litre between it's 10,000km oil change interval. So having an oil pressure gauge like those on pre 1990s Mercedes makes sense. Yes, no?. 🤔🤔🤣
Perhaps you could help me... I have m271 c180 compressor Done oil change and oil housing half of the plastic is stil stuck in side and doesn't want to come out. What can i do to fix it? I tried to pul out with long needle nose pliers but that damn thing is very stuck inside
@@luchianady I bought one line dipstick of 570mm from the end of tip until it's stopper. Found that it was a bit too short. I grind the OD of the stopper (but do not grind off the top most round yellow plastic which will become the stopper) and threw away the 0-ring. Now I dip for oil level once every 1000km and keep the dipstick in the booth. 😂😂😂

@@chefdaytonk oh ok in that case the procedure should be the same, only the oil quantities will probably be different, check you manual, I can see that at minute 16.17 of this video the manual shown 8L for the c230 c280 and c350, but you can double check that with your manual, otherwise the filter and other stuff should in the same location.
In my opinion You don't install in propel way new filter. See haw deep old filter was put on plastic filter cover. In your movie is was at 8:36. New filter was not push enough on filter cover. See at 12:51. When You screw this into filter base the plastic will be destroy. The oil from oil pump will go through to oil pan and engine. Hi thank you for sharing your opinion and the video which I had a look, but can’t understand as is in another language, however I can see the filters he is using have a hard plastic cover on each end, the one I use has a soft material that gets pushed in and not get destroyed. I’ve service this car every year and didn’t have a problem. Having said that you did raise a good point and something for everyone to watch out for just in case you get some difficulty fitting the filter or it doesn’t go all the way in. So in any case thank you for sharing, I appreciate you have actually seen the detail. Well done and thanks again something for me to be aware in future, as the w203 and w204 use those filters.
