Great job, the best work that I ever seen in RU-vid for such model of transmission. Thank you very much for all the hard work that you put in this explanation and all the very useful details.
In that transmission it is observed that the central planetary gear has damaged the spline where the central shaft fits and the technician did not observe it. It is very likely that this transmission does not work either forward or reverse.
Great job! I have a 722.118 that sometimes stalls. I rev the engine to 3000rpm and the transmission works. I have the impression that it is a lack of pressure. Could a pressure regulator adjustment solve the problem? Thanks!
Having sat for so long the rubber has probably gotten hard losing pressure there. Probably time to rebuild it. Don't go changing the settings, they are probably correct.
Does yours have a throttle linkage also or just a modulator like this one? If you want to try an old school trick to see if the rubber will soften a little to try and get a little more life out of it. Put some brake fluid in it. Maybe 2-3 cap fulls. It will cause the rubber to swell and maybe buy you some time. Do you have a book on setting the pressures?
@@CurmudgeonTransmission Yes, it has throttle linkage and regulated as the manual says. I'm going to go back to the old oil that I saved, add it with the brake oil and test it for a week. I remember putting brake oil in the M110 engine and it minimized leaks. Since the transmission has a little bit of a leak, it could be that both problems are solved. I have the ATSG book. Thank you very much!
my transmission will work on the initial press of the accelerator but then immediately loses any movement and the engine just revs" what could be causing this?
Not sure what they got for this. It was for another shop that supplied their own parts. I don't own the shop and have no idea what they are getting for labor now that everything is going up. Don't do side work either.

Did not see it when I was filming it. However I did see it when I went back and looked it over again. Think I mentioned it in the rebuild video. Thanks for watching.
