I have just had the same fault come up on my A250 (2012) for the second time now. Last time was 4 years ago when I took it to Mercedes to get fixed and they charged me a total of £480 for parts and labour. Now I known what it is I will be taking it to an independent garage to replace and if need be showing them this video. It must be a common fault on the A Class. Thanks for the upload.
Brilliant video, i have the same code but forums say it could be the coolant temp? looking to do this myself (with absolutely no mechanical experience) although i am an electrician and could give it a right good go. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
When high acceleration and speed my thermostat meter drops from 90 to 80 - 75 degrees celcius. After normal speed it goes back up to 90. Does this mean that the thermostat is defect? I also have w176 a250.
@@killuminatii1 It happened to me after I raised my temperature due to the loss of coolant from a cut hose, the thermostat was locked and raised the temperature, the thermostat was replaced and now I am left with this oscillation variation of temperature, in Mercedes they tried changing the pump of water, the radiator, the temperature sensor and it's still the same ... I have my doubts that it is normal, I raise your temperature too or did it start to do it for no reason? thanks in advance for answering , I am from Argentina
