Got my car back not only with the auto close function disabled on the driver side, but also returned a gap when I manually closed it. Tried your method and it permanently fixed the issue. The dealer should always test the car before returning it to me. It looks like another scam if I brought it back. Again, appreciate your knowledge and effort!

Works for my 1999 SL500 👍 my battery was dead and, after jumping it, the passenger side window worked but didn't partial open when opening the door. All's working great again. Thanks

Worked for my '15 Mercedes CLS with a slight variation. When the window was all the way up (using only the first position) and I released the up button after 12 seconds, the window dropped down about a half inch. Lift the window up again all the way by holding the switch in the first position only, and continue holding the window up for another 10-12 seconds. Then let go of the switch. Then press the auto down position briefly (second position/stop) on the switch and the window goes all the way down. Now use the auto up position on the window and hope it works. It did. Yay!

Thanks, it worked on my 02 CLK 430. Disconnected the battery and it said I had an abs and brake assist malfunction too, but turning it off and on again literally worked. The window trick worked as well

Called MB service and they told me It was probably a problem with a fuse. They knew nothing about resyncking. This worked perfectly on my 2000 CLK 430 Cabrio. thanks for saving me money for a service call.

Great tip. My drivers window would pop down 1/2” on opening and after I changed my battery it would never Re-pop up on exiting the car and closing the door. Not good in winter weather. Your tip was invaluable. Thanks again!

My cls I had to roll the window all the way up, let go, then hold the up position on the button for 10 seconds and then let it go, then it worked.

If this won’t work for you just check that the plastic trim which goes around the door latch is installed. It’s not in the car will not detect when the door is closed. In my case I had just finished replacing the window regulator so that plastic was still not installed when I tried to normalise window.

Good thing I found this video cause I'm having mayor issues with my e350 2010 right window. For some time, when ever I slide down the window and want to close it it doesn't close by tapping in one shot. I have to hold the button until it goes up completely. The bad side of this is that when it hits the top and I let go the button I slightly comes down and inch or two. My question is, will this reset fix this problem. Please need help with that, it's very uncomfortable to deal with that everyday.

My 2018 cla 250 battery was failing and prior to me changing battery I put down the passenger and the back passenger window. Now with a new battery I cant seem to get those 2 windows to go back up. Any fix?

After I disconnected the battery and reconnected it, the soft top would not go down even though the windows rolled down and the top fully unlatched. Now I cannot get the top completely closed and because it isn't closed, the windows will not go back up. How do I get the soft top to lock closed so I can get the windows up? Thank you very much!

My 2003 SL500 windows seem to open just a crack for no reason when the car is parked. I cannot find any information on why this occurs. It may have to do with the battery in the trunk as it was low (even though it is brand new) when I got in the car and started it. Any help would be appreciated.
