Gracias. XTOOL has been updating their line up of tools, if I'm able to get the D9EV, I'll review.

I think the Ps90 should do coding. I'm not certain on cloning modules, haven't done that before so can't say.

Depends on the car. That said, not every vehicle is supported.

The IP616 is not a key programming device and as such won't communicate with the KC501. You need the IP819 or D8 etc.

Unfortunately not.

Doesn't sound like a coding issue, but rather a issue with the gauge on the fuel sending unit.

Both are good options. The 819 supports coding while the D7 doesn't. However, the D7 has a bit more special functions. Probably the 819 based on the fact that it's newer.

I can't say for sure. Don't have a Mercedes around me at the moment to check.

That's really not what coding is about. The back door not opening is most likely a bad actuator for the door knob. If its bad, it would need to be changed. Could also be a fuse, loose connection, open in the circuit etc. You'll just need to troubleshoot. ECU coding doesn't fix problems per say, it helps adjust hidden settings and stuff like that. Also check that child lock isn't on 🤓

It's coding. You can check the definition of ECU coding. It involves changes settings in the ECU to make the car behave differently.

@@DIYAutoworksNG I did programming at college, programming involves writing an algorithm and then eventually put it in machine language using different platforms like C++, Python and C etc. Most automobile cars are written in C++ language or android. Android is derived from C++. If you were go going to use any of those platforms that is coding. What you are doing is just editing, no coding do not be deceived coding is not that cheap.

Can Xtool D7 detect and correct PCM: power train control module faults. Do the codes on an Xtool tell a mechanic that a module needs replacement verses resetting/editing?

@@inakalimba9428 XTLOOL doesn’t do much as it is displayed or advertised, it’s more like a code reader. Innova 5610 a much cheaper scanner does much better job than D8
