Still looks fresh and modern. That's the power of Mercedes. Compare that to american or asian cars from 2000 and they look like they're 20 years older than this CL.

„Ich zähle unsern Umsatz in meim CL500! Die Straßen hoch und runter auch wenn ich keinen Grund hab! Dein Mädchen denkt ich flunker, Druck ich auf‘s Gas dann brummt er! Ich hohl mir einen runter in meim CL500!“ 😂💪🏻💪🏻
Beautiful car, still looks modern in the world of designs in 2019, when all the mercs now look just way too identical. This car is one of the essences of Mercedes Benz, one of the last modern classics. As the F1 safety car, we all used to adore and admire the CL. And still do today.
To every car guy out there, you have to drive one of these, or 600/AMG version. It is unbelievable how rock solid they are at any speed. You feel so confident behind the wheel, no matter at what speed. I used to have one for a couple of months but maintanance and running costs simply were to high after I had to comute 210kilometers a day. Absolutely fantastic car. PS: Maintenance isn't that harsh if the ABC Suspension is in good condition, and you are skilled enough to work on the car by yourself.
a premium car is always going to be costly. whether it is worth it or not is mostly down to the returns you are expecting to get. if you just want to get to work and back maybe not the most cost effective but if you want to ride in unpararelled style surely a mercedes is a great choice.
+VolvoXC90TV Yeah you are right, it was mounted way too high. Unfortunately we only had the car for a very short time. That is why we could not set it up properly. Sorry for that! Greetings
It's impressive that it pulls so well to nearly 260kph, it doesn't seem to pick up any slower even after 200kph. I recently bought a facelift cl500 and I have done a lot of work to the car, restoring it to nearly as new condition. I've only driven it for 40 miles or so but on one road I opened it up and once it goes past 3000rpm it really pulls! Awesome cars
Love how the audi just pulled away from this merc haha. Yes, the power from 180+ is impressive but untill that I don't think this is the best cruiser out there.
That's exactly what it was built for- howling up and down the bahn all day. And even at 220/240 kmh, it's not even breaking sweat. A true autobahn monster. Nice.
I've had my CL55 at 165 mph @ 6am on a Sunday morning on A1A in Miami, freshly paved and not a bump on the road for 12 miles... I highly recommend it!!
Gotta hand it to the Germans. They know how to make a car that not only rides like butter, but a car that will make you nearly crap your pants when you floor it. Heck my 328i, even though it’s only got 230 hp, WILL go almost 180. That is astonishing.
Was this the only time when the car hadn/t been for repairs? :) Had this car good a few years ago and it was the worst Mercedes I've ever had. ABC and Air suspension always broken even with new OEM parts. Cost a fortune to repair. And with 2017 UK insurance hike not even worth touching. You're faaaaar better with an SL350.
