What an awful review, not to mention the comment section here. The CLA is far from perfect, but it obviously fills a gap in the market. It all is depending on what the owner is expecting in terms of esthetics and ergonomics. "It's not a racing car", "it's not a rocket ship", subjective remarks on the looks that the viewers can make for themselves... All kinds of slaloming around opinions.. arghh! Absolute shit review to be quite frank.
You guys need to look at how much taxes the car has added to the price, i mean at the same time i suspect you are in Australia so the shipping might be more expensive from Europe then say from Japan or Korea as an example , i just took possession of the CLA 250 4matic AMG line ( not the engine) + all options except sunroof and leather , it came down to 52000$ Canadian .And yes the simple 200 with no options no 4 matic at 52000$ is too pricey but again it's all relative as to where you live ....try to have honda civic in Singapore for instance ....
rip off indeed! I test drove CLA 200 and CLA 250 4Matic. It is just an A-class with a massive boot attached to it. But you will pay a good $20,000 on that boot! Also, it is not a spacious at all despite the video saying it is! As I said, it is merely an A-class car with a boot!
the newest top of the line mazda 3, honda civic and kia optima are actually more luxurious inside, more standard safety equipment, better engineered, more reliable and all for 30% less - the amuot of people i see driving a180s and 200s is sad, mercedes is really bashing their own badge by selling these absolute shit boxes at almost double the price of competitors which are better to live with. Wonder how long it will be before mercedes loses its prestige.
