This is the Car Buyers Guide review of the 2016 / 2017 Mercedes Benz E Class - E220d.
The 2016 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is undoubtedly a force to be reckoned with. While this is unmistakeably an E-Class, this car feels and drives so much better than before. It is a truly excellent car.
In this video review, Daragh Ó Tuama drives the new E-Class E220d on Irish roads around the Dublin / Wicklow Mountain region in Ireland. His test model is the new AMG line E220d diesel.
With the new E Class, Mercedes has really upped their game. Everything about these automobiles is a treat. The automatic gearbox is better than ever, and the new layout of the infotainment system is superb. Although, the usability of the infotainment system is still a bit clunky.

over 60k euros and you dont even have the widescreen cockpit in it? wtf? i ordered the e220d for 63k euros and have it almost full option. only things i dont have is the air suspension and the full leather (got half leather as that wears out less). cars are expensive in ireland man lol

Cars are ridiculously expensive over here. We're charged huge VRT (vehicle registration tax). Things are so expensive that if we decide to opt for more ADAS equipment within our new cars, we get charged even more VRT! Thanks for the comment.

here in Denmark you are looking at 85.000 euro for a really low specced E class : /

@@HEROfrozt Wow! And I thought we were bad in Ireland. I know the Netherlands is pretty similar to us. Prices aren't bad here now for the E220d. You can get the 2019 model with Premium Pack which means you get memory seats, 360 degree cameras, the Comand Online system with the two 12.3 in screens and Multibeam LEDs plus the AMG Line spec for low €60Ks. Standard now is blind spot assist and the full safety systems. It's not bad at all.
