Thanks for sharing this information. Do you have a you tube on repairing a smog pump problem in this same automible, and also how to remove the instrument cluster on this model of car? Thanks again Ed

I've not needed to tackle the smog pump. I did pull the gauge cluster to replace bulbs at one point, but I followed a very good video I found on RU-vid - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Z7vM78b5cOw.html

Thanks for your video! Question - I'm planning to do this on my car this weekend, but my car doesn't have a bleeding 'tube' or anything like what you describe - my new thermostat seems to have the little 'jiggle valve' thing on it for bleeding on its own..... I ordered this through an MBZ parts company so I know its the right thermostat - have you ever heard of this?

Many are like that, best to bleed thru coolant tank cap with front end up towards said cap. Thanks for watching!

I have a question I did a coolent flush and filled it up but it doesn’t bubble to burp the system or anything just sits where I filled it at even with hen heat on and running it doesn’t go down at all I replaced my thermostat and it still does the same thing am I missing something?

Did you drain the block and the radiator, or to what extent did you drain? I never saw tremendous bubbling with these cars, but there should definitely be a little bit in most cases. Thanks for watching!

@@gregfowler8083 Do you have any overheating or temperature spiking? If not, it should be OK to drive (at least to test) and should bleed out as you drive if there is any air remaining in the system. That's where I'd personally proceed from where you're at.

Hello, I suffer from a lack of water in the car, and there is no leaking hoses or radiators, does the thermostat do that in case it is damaged, as I notice a sudden drop in the temperature of the car and it did not rise from its normal position to 80C when Stuck Open Thermostat is to cause to lack of water , the weather is summer ??

A thermostat won't lose coolant for you - you could be consuming coolant via a headgasket leak, though. Thanks for watching!
