I finally got one.. have to say I can't find another car that I think looks better overall. Was able to get the illuminated star option also. when all the windows are down, this car looks is unbeatable.
@@realkingrav2265 love the styling on both but if you want a v8, you gotta go with the S class. They haven't made an current gen e550, or any v8 option with the E class unless I'm mistaken.

Everything you told its true, a fantastic and amazing car...with many options more and its cheaper and more comfortable than a s63 or s65 amg...and cheaper
@@colereed1997 a lot of people don’t know that. The S63 has a trash transmission apparently as well. The only plus the s63 has over the s550 is body style
The modern s-class is a finely engineered machine, and mostly reliable too. But the bean counters cut corners and some of the parts are cheaply made and sometimes fail. That really isnt so bad, but repair shops try to rip you off when repairs are needed, and that can really ruin the ownership experience.
First there is no S550 coupe in the market, there is only S500 & S63 coupe versions, also for now it is worth it 40K$ also you can get one more cheaper but with a higher risk for less at Copart.
do you still have the car, i just sold my f87 m2 and i was thinking of getting something a bit more grown up...how has the ownership been and how bad are the repair bills....ive been thinging of getting a 2018 e63s edition 1 or a 2015 s class coupe help a guy out.
For the longest time I wanted a cl 550. Then I finally drove one found out how heavy the front end was hated it. How does this car drive? Heavy in the front or balanced?
I would say it’s better , because of new tech and how light weight materials are , but best is for you to drive one because every person has a different opinion
This is my #1 wanted car I think. Right now I got a CLK550 and it's OK..... I like it but I think the new S class will be too broken by the time I can get one.
These weren't selling well. New ones were heavily discounted because the sedan is just better. Getting a used one for 90k is not a good deal. I would get a used a 650i, v8 engine better trans, for 50k cheaper. But i don't buy used lol
50i 4.4 tt N63 engines aren't that reliable. Battery issues, propensity to burn oil. It's a direct injection car, it's known for having fuel injections issues. Also the timing system will give you lots of problems ... this is just the beginning
@@imadtanouticonta At 50k less i think most people could manage, not to mention the S coupe has a decent amount of issues. Those airmatic go after year 4, and the 7 speed trans is just plain bad vs BMW 8 speed and Mercedes new 9 speed. A bad trans is not what i want in a luxury car, but that is just me!
@@imadtanouticonta I know exactly what you are talking about lol. I still love my BMW 650i though. I think a better bang for your back is the S63 coupe... but you are still spending more.
Of course they aren’t selling well these cars are for a niche market. Who buys cars often at $120k just because the want too. The CL class didn’t sell well also. These cars easily go up $145k with all the options. These cars aren’t for the masses and were never intended. It’s all about exclusivity. Keep in mind that these coupes are more than the sedan thus selling less than the sedan. The only edge the sedan has is there is more rear and cargo space. Other than that, they are virtually the same cars.
