I have replaced dozens of these levers, entire intakes, but that is the best lever I have seen. The last one I bought off eBay was flimsy and is made by a well known company which surprised me.

there is 3/8" clearance between the screw bolt and the part of engine that blocks direct access to the screw. It may be possible to design a specialized T30 torx wrench to fit into that gap to unscrew the bolt and remove the lever, so that you don''t have to remove the intake manifold.

No need to remove fuel lines from manifold or injectors, just disconnect fuel line from the main input line.

If the lever is broken, have you ever seen the actuators bad as well or its mostly the lever being cause if the butterfly open and close

Is there a trick with getting the vacuum hoses off the old manifold?

Mine broke on the actuator arm that connects to the air diaphragm. This doesn't help. The arm gets brittle. New manifold!

I REPLACED MY PLASTIC LEVER PROBLEM , REASSEMBLED ALL PARTS C230 STARTER AND RUNS GOOD BUT I STILL ME A CODE P2004, CHECKED ALL SOLENOIDS , REMOVED REAR SENSOR CHECKED LEVER TO POSITION SENSOR GOOD ,HALL EFFECT SENSOR WORKING . CHEECKED WITH DIGITAL METER WHEN RUNNING ANY IDEASTHANKS FOR ANY HELP

Very good video, Please help me if you can. My actuator part seems fine, however, it is the far left plastic arm flapper linkage assembly that has broken. Specifically, the entire black, round piece is gone creating a hole in the manifold body which is causing a severe pressure leak. So also the vertical arm linkage remains in a set position and doesn't change. Much rough idle, and just not drivable. Many codes, P0016, 0017, 0128, (0301, 0302, 0303, 0304), 2179, 2187. When my mechanic covers this hole, the engine smooths out (all new spark plugs and ignition coils presently). It looks like a complete intake manifold replace job. I'm thinking of letting him seal the hole and driving out. What's your expert advice on this? Is there anyway to rectify this without a complete replacement? If I buy a rebuilt manifold, it will be like $400 after core refund and about the same in labor. I don't fault MB in any way, my daughter drove this car for 5 years, now it's mine. I have owned it for 2 months and can get no pleasure from it :(

Hi, iv'e got a CLS C219 350 200KW or 272PS. Got the yellow Motor Oil lamp. Diagnostic says this. 2006 Intake Manifold Runner Control Stuck Closed Bank 1a. 2187 System too lean at idle bank 1 2189 System too lean at idle bank 2 My car needs like 1 Liter more fuel and sometimes acceleration is very low. can this be the same problem? thx
