@@RemusGagiu If you forget how bad is the whole body in the terms of rust, than you have an argument. When they joined with Crysler they started to cut the costs in body protection around year 2000 and these few years almost destroyed Mercedes image. W204 returned the trust. Big difference.
Great video. I do wonder however if these engineers think about the long term? Sure a new car is great, but the c class certainly does not go the distance, well, at least without a deep pocket.
huh? a W204 with Diesel goes 500km with no problem. just maintain it according to the manual (should be around 100 bucks a year) and the car will run without any problems. there is a reason all the taxi drivers in Germany and Austria drive Mercedes.
@@lancegraham7722 yeah, in all European countries and some US ones we have something called TÜV or §57a or something like that - every car gets a thourough expection every year - if your car doesn't meet this criteria you are not allowed to drive it. So cars tend to get maintained. It's not like Toyota were you don't do anything for 10 years then repair it if something breaks. Maintain and repair even if it still working a little bit and it will run forever. Sometimes it's bad luck but warranty should cover that.
I have w204 180cdi 2012.Its a very unquality and unreliable car.I have timing chain and tensioners issue on 154000 km! Water pump is bad too.Injectors too.Dmb german engineers.Same problems as previous bmw n47 engine. However the bmw fixed that problem but mercedes done the same mistake as bmw.I will never buy mercedes again Quality vehicles are Japanese vehicles only. Germans should learn from them how to make a quality product!
