BMW’s too much for me, everyone has one here. And it’s always the drug dealers and people that try to show off flashiness. It’s a turn off for me to buy one around where I live.

Carbuyer With all the respect, you should've matched them on specs and engines. The Audi is really put down because it was a base model. Although you mentioned the touchscreens and such are not standard, you compared these 3 cars' interior and exterior based on the cars you had, and not the "Range" you mention over and over. Again, I love all the videos carbuyer produces, but this one felt a bit unfair.
Jan Nissen Of course, headroom depends also on seat height. That said, this C class does have more slope (like the so-called 4-door hardtops) which is always going to be felt inside.

It's funny because if you look at the other reviews the BMW comes second because of something they did with their suspension. It also site higher with more wheel well which I hate.
BMWs are desirable in the UK because the roads we have here suit the BMW rear wheel drive characteristics very well. The roads are often small, twisty and fun to bomb down in a well balanced and sharp steering saloon or coupe. I own a 320d saloon and the low end torque, turbo and handling mean that I love driving it on UK country roads. When I take it onto the motorway (interstate), the suspension and ride are a little bit jarring. If I were living in the USA, I would probably go for a better cruising car, like the Audi or Mercedes. They don't cut along, they breeze along. My dad has the A4 avant and it makes perfect sense for the more senior driver. Comfy suspension, dependable and practical drive.
Mercedes won almost all categories: looks exterior and interior, build quality, ride comfort, noise isolation, value for money, and most efficient. How the hell bmw won this comparisan?
@@tramlad2 swap BMW with AUDI in your comment and I will agree. There's an undeniable social stigma attached to BMW which is it's popularity among young men, aggressive driving, being more sport and performance driven. Also, the car just has this haunting mean look to it which shows personality, unlike AUDI. Apart from AUDI performance and subtle yet glamorous look on the outside there's not much exciting left about the car. Especially the interiors of AUDI....so boring(imo). However, you see a lot of women in their little A3's(they love them) families intheir Q6's and older men in their A6 or A7. which is why i think AUDI is made for everyone, but BMW is made for those who feel a little more special than that! it's just a much more exciting car and that's that, which is why I agree that out of the 3, BMW takes the W. You're correct about Mercedes tho, it's just like Marks and Spencer. Never trendy, always the same, pain't them all grey and call it a day!
MRT for sure. My 2013 a4 looks so much better than this Audi. Better look better wheels better drivetrain... interior looks amazing as well. Strange comparison.
The BMW is the benchmark for a reason. The Mercedes is hideous and if that is the sportier model, it's only for women. It is way too soft. The Audi looks like an appliance. It is a shame VW is disquising Jettas as A4s and charging thousands more. The Audi is also FWD just like the VW it's based on. A BMW is a BMW.
Your right BMW is a BMW. BMW and Volkswagen are the only genuine German brands that aren't owned by anybody. Mercedes is owned by Daimler(truck brand) and Audi is owned by Volkswagen.
Are you a bit thick? The A4 is based on the VW-group platform with longitudal engines, together with A5 A6 A7 A8 Q5 VW Phaeton Bentley Continental etc. The Jetta is based on the MQB platform with an transverse engine configuration together with A3 Q3 Golf Rapid Octavia Leon etc.
Mats Silvander .. he is still right. May not be a Jetta, but that means that all the others based on this are too expensive for their money. Also, did you hear?! they'll make a "new" platform that will be common to Golf, Passat or any other derrivates of these 2. Buy VW!!! Essentially a 3 models company, but with 10's of names for them.
From all the good points of the Mercedes over the other two cars, I can't believe they didn't make it win. What the hell came over them? Mercedes-Benz C Class: 1) smoother 2) quieter 3) most relaxing to drive 4) best-looking 5) holds it's value better 6) more leg room in the rear 7) better quality cabin and parts 8) better designed cabin / more ergonomic 9) more reliable than the other two 10) lowest emissions How can that not win? As a W204 C Class owner myself (this one is a W205), this one looks really nice inside - love that cabin. I'm glad the Audi came last, as I think it deserves to come last One last point, The diesel on the Merc was noisier than the Audi according to Matt. However, Audi diesels are the second noisiest diesels of ANY car make in the UK (bar none), after Skoda, and that's a fact, not just my opinion, so I don't know where he's got that info from. Just to clarify: Noisiest diesel engines of any car in the UK = Skoda Second noisiest diesel engines of any car in the UK = Audi
I don't like Benz's. They just seem like "old people" cars. Not sure if that really carries any weight though. I just don't like the looks of them. Audis are much more sporty.
Wait a few more months for the new A4 to be launched then do another review... They're comparing brand new models with a 2008 design... and it still holds up
I'm still looking to buy a car and in the past two weeks, I've test driven a BMW 3series efficient dynamic and a Mercedes C class. I, personally and based on my 27 years of driving experience, think that BMW is slightly a better car than the C class. The differences are so tiny but tangible if you really have the eagle eyes and sixth sense.
Evan Fish .. you like luxury stuff, hence your preference. But it's OK, you are young, if you don't get rich, you'll curb your preferences accordingly. Also, no one can say BMW are not luxurious, in fact they are very much so. So, even for you a BMW would fit into luxury category, but it will fit better with your age group. Mercedes, sadly, as LOLBT said, it's for old people (comfort, best cruiser, etc, etc, all boring)
What a bad review, get all cars at the same spec and the audi comes up, they got an entry level model and reviewed that against top of the range models. Poor!
Well, I love the new C class, but variation in the video is the worst for me, I don't like the exterior without AMG package and with a star on the grill at the same time On the other hand BMW has M package and red interior which is the best looking variation for me personally I mean it would be fairer if they compare THAT 3 series with a C class with the AMG package and red interior with black marbled wood with a matte finish to decide which one is more attractive visually
Carbuyer Why no Lexus IS300h? As a company car its the cheapest option to go for so it would have been appropriate to include it in the test, especially since Lexus are trying to change their image. Maybe you could try to shake things up and look at alternative vehicles, not just the obvious, predictable and badge snobs' German choices?

***** Well so far the BMW 3 series is still class leading, to be honest I don't think Jaguar has a chance. The only real good rival for the BMW 3 series is the Tesla model 3
Just bought the new C class, it's amazing but you need to put the AMG pack on it or you get that glossy scratch prone plastic splashed everywhere. AMG line replaces it with stunning black ashwood.
Ok the Mercedes is the best for your money because it has good fuel economy the best interior good looks and the best for reliability how come it did not come 1st

BMW 3 series is horrible! I've owned one and it's made of cheap plastic inside, it has an ugly outdated interior, uncomfortable seats, doesn't do nearly as many km/l as promised, holds value horribly, and gets complete electric failures way too often!
Horrible interior? Uncomfortable seats? I have the E92 M3 and its the opposite of what you are saying, so its either you are trolling (get a life loser), or you are talking about the E36. If that is the case, grow the fuck up because they are talking about the F80, not the E36!

I rode in all of them and nothing charms me as much as an A4. It's like a mother on wheels. Smooth suspension, incredibly sensitive braking, small and nimble to get you through many holes, AWD rapes snow, and very nice turbo that kicks you when speeding up is needed (NJ merge lanes, which don't exist).
I agree that the auto boxes are really good now. I was adamant that I wanted a manual c class, but after having driven the auto I decided to order that instead, it suits the car a lot better.
All cars are good in their own ways: Audi: Nothing... They try to copy BMW by making dynamic machines but no. I do like their designs though. Mercedes: Luxury. The S Class is one of the best looking luxury cars I've ever seen speaking as a BMW owner. BMW: Better at making driving machines such as the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 series... They were in the middle class saloon business for nearly 45 years. They are the experts. They defined it. Newcomers like the new Jaguar XE? No blooming chance! A car that has just come out is trying to beat a car that has ruled the segment for 40 years? Yea right...
If you want Performance go for a BMW. If you want luxury, poshness and space go for a Mercedes and if you want a car that will never match against these two, go for an Audi.
oh dear, kids everywhere complaining that their car hasn't won...sad... but here is, what I think (btw, i'm a merc kinda guy, so for me it's the merc, that I recently drove) surely, the audi is a bit outdated, you gotta say, that it is almost the oldest car of the audi range and it has to be replaced, yet it also is the smartest, carbuyer is right with that. it's a vw brand car and you can feel it. Personally, the design isn't my kinda think, but it looks okay and a bit sporty, but as i said, a bit old. the bmw, well...it just isn't my kind of car, i absolutely don't like the headlights, for me they look terrible touching the grill, the side line is sporty, agreed, and looks rather nice and the back is cool, too. The inside...well...beemer drivers love, i'm not convinced by it, the shifter doesn't look as cool as in the 5 series, the wents look old, some nobs look like there are out of cheap plastic and the steering wheel isn't pretty, too. For whatever reason, I quite like the red seats. well and the merc...i like it very much, from the outside and the indside...as they said, it just looks special. i can tell, that they are right with the materials, everything you touch feels expensive and well built. it just so much better than the old c-class and thats why the media likes the merc very much. the ride in this car is just incredible, it actually feels better than the actual e-class, much more like a 5 series but lighter. enginewise, because the merc is newer, its engines are more economical, the audi's are a bit old and the bmw's are trimmed on sportyness, which makes it less economical. yes, the bmw is the sportier one, again the audi is a bit old, but i can tell that the merc is becoming sportier, especially by those settings you can chose from. it just drives amazingly, thats what i can tell, i don't wanna say that the others will drive like shit, why should i? i don't know, that's the case... for me then, the merc wins, because it's the most economical, the most technically advanced, i personally know tha command system better and the new c-class looks so special, not actually in that configuration they got, but it still looks very nice to me. The Mercedes is more expensive than the other one's, right...but it's that little bit more special and i think that's worse it. I'm ready for the hates :P
which one do you prefer .... i don't like phones, whats ur opinion on windows phone. Don't tell me its Audi. Love Merc.... for its a dream car for most.
I really don't get why the commentators on this video are comparing low-tier luxury vehicles with brands of mobile phone operating system. The BMW's the sportier drive. That's its USP, it's personality. In the same manner, the Mercedes-Benz was the more luxurious vehicle. There's no such thing as "the real deal" because they have their own buyers and their own unique personalities.

I test drove many of these cars and bought a 2015 BMW 328 I M it is hands down the better car for the money and Mb and Audi can't touch the BMW warranty .

Well done Ginny & Mat, great review. Agree with the 3 being a better package, those seats are amazingly comfortable. C class severely let down by the head room.
***** Its cheaper casue the interior is crap and the engine needs service more then twice as often as Saab says. Unless you go for the diesel witch is not from Saab :D
hell yeah, have my new BMW 2016 3 series this whole year and I love it. I use to drive c-class around town for my old job, nothing can compare to the sports feel and great suspension you'd expect the ultimate driving machine to have!! #BeamerAllDay
I feel sorry for anyone living in a society where you have to consider a diesel in any three of these cars because of high fuel taxes...not to mention the retention of the archaic manual transmission....which is just an oxymoron in a Mercedes in particular.... "Mercedes Manual Transmission... Three words that should never be used in the same sentence...ever.
I would say: 1-C-class 2-BMW 3-Series 3-Audi's A4, however wait for the new generation late next year and it will be quite differnt Note I usually prefer Audi's to other 2, but I have to be honest with this. The C class looks the best, has the best interior, less break downs, more comfortable, best seats. Yes the BMW is more sports but if I wanted a sports car I wouldnt go with a saloon
The Audi bashing made this kind of boring, would have been interesting to have some kind of Jaguar or a Volvo in comparison. I know the idea was prob to have these 3 known german "posh" brands but it was basically a Merc v Bmw comparison as Audi was "so old" in comparison, also i think a Jaguar or a Volvo would have brought a different dimension to the review to a certain extent.
I think BMW interiors basicly looks the same for the last 20 years, they havent changed much. There boring. Thats probably why beemer drivers drive lika assholes, there soo bored in the car that they need to do something to have a little fun.

If you're a driver then you'll take the BMW, if you're a pillock then you'll take a FWD Audi, and if you're an old woman then you'll take the Mercedes. All these cars are good but the BMW is in a league of it's own in the compact executive segment
Didn't really like the new 3 series for the longest time, but this new C class definitely makes it look better (and it has grown on me quite a bit too).
Good review and agree with your result. Tried all 3 cars several times. Decided finally to buy the BMW. No blame, Audi and Mercedes are doing good, but performance wise the BMW is slightly better in every detail. Especially Audi Interior is nice and luxurious, BMW is by far less stylish inside, but apart of the Christmas tree lighting look and feel - in detail the BMW is better (MMI, usability, seats, long drive feeling, steering...). From outside the BMW looks much more aggressive and sporty than the others. If you think about buying one, I strongly recommend the M Package (as you have tested). Looks even better and more „racy“ than the „normal“ line and its steering wheel is really mouthwatering!

Am I the only one who can't stand the tablet style screens that all the new model luxury cars have? I mean, seriously, it looks like they forgot to add the screen and glued a tablet on as an afterthought. It just looks bad and clumsy. I'm looking to buy a new car now and am choosing between the Audi A4 2016 premium plus (with all the packages) vs the updated 2015 C-Class sport model and I just can't get over the tablet in the C-Class. Exterior wise, I like both cars and both look great. The interior of the Mercedes is more luxurious. Except for the stupid tablet (and the leatherette seats). And now the 2017 A4 is getting the tablet too. Ugh. I can't be the only one who thinks they look stupid. I'm probably gonna go with the 2016 A4 b/c the tablet just looks too dumb.

Tested all 3 cars in the last month before deciding on my next company car - agree with Audi being dated, but don't get why they rave about the C class. The drive is okay but interface is awful with poor menus with no logic. Really distracting when driving. I'm going BMW - no brainer !!
Thank you I enjoyed you as a team in this review , very excited to see how the new Jag XE will do. I have the old e90 328i , but I find the steering a bit heavy . I did like Rebecca , but I must say the new lady is quite impressing and very enjoyable to listen to.
