Agree with your price assessment. Upper-mid $60ks for a high trim model is too much considering the range, speed, and general ICE-conversion vibes.

I’ve had Benz BMW Porsche Lexus and now a Tesla. After going electric I kinda don’t want to go back to gasoline. So I’m glad others are going pure electric. I’d definitely give this Benz a try.

Owning a GLB 250, & having Turo'd a AMG 35 for a week, one of the best parts of the ICE version is it's handling for the type of vehicle it is, esp the 35. Also, the American public is used to whiny, droning 1.5-2.0 4cyls at this point. I do like the idea of this car, but having driven (2)750 mile round trip family of 4 road trips the last 5 weeks, recharging for 225-250 range would drive me nuts. The EV charging networks in the NE US are so unreliable. Actual vs potential KW/hr are never close. Unless it's Tesla it's off and I'm so not a Tesla fanboy, but their network is the only thing reliable around here.

I’m watch Mercedes closely. Hoping the CLE will be offered as an all electric convertible in the US. Not sure Merc is taking enough chances as of late, line up looking pedestrian. Festival looked fun,

I wanna see Mercedes drop in that amazing 900v architecture into one of its passenger vehicles, ASAP. Or, roll out an electric-only version of the X-class, and offer the 900v system. Definitely put it in all their commercial trucks, vans, and buses too.

Mercedes may be secretly trying to make gasoline powered sedans like the C300 more appealing than electric counter points while having their SUVs be more appealing on the electric side. EQB and C-Class are the best looking cars in their classes

The choices for EV "baby buggies" are beginning to broaden rapidly. This is good for everyone....more choices. And yes, lower prices would help adoption....this is still a bit pricey for the class.

We have been interested in the EQB but just found out that current inventory does not come with power front seats. Also, no heated seats? This is so disappointing as this is a must for my wife. I would expect any Mercedes to have all the “normal” features -especially being electric - Is this true? Please confirm. Thanks so much.

I think Mercedes doesn't really put too much effort in developing EQA and EQB. Compare to EQS and EQE, they just simply change gasoline engine into electric motor. Considering its available range for daily driving and after seeing EQB's ugly engine room, I still choose GLB.

Not enough range & charging times too long. Also, if no difference in the power of the models except 'tuning' then why not by cheaper one & tune it yourself (assuming the aftermarket will produce tuning options for these vehicles).

strongly agree that it's over-priced. around $60k is GLC money, not A/B level money. Audi is also screwing up its electric prices. but thankfully BMW is getting it right.

I recently picked up a EQB300. I would not recommend buying this thing due to some serious quality issues. Rear motor failed after 160 miles!!!!

It is difficult for me to imagine a less exciting MB product right now. This lozenge is the most boring thing on wheels the company makes by far; I feel like I'd need an AARP card and dentures before being allowed to buy one.

0:15 Get your facts right. There was already an EQC and EQA before the EQS arrived and the EQB shares most of its tech with those 2 models, not the EQS.

Appreciate the insight but perhaps you should dig a bit deeper. The first real model to the US was the EQS.

@@MotoManTV Fair enough, but you state that they start with the expensive ones and then bring the tech to the models everybody buys. So this is not about what they bring to what markets, but how they design the models. EQB being almost identical to EQA in terms of tech, and EQA being older than EQS, I don't think there is much tech that the EQS introduced that is sitting in the EQB, if any at all.
