Do I need to buy the H7 LED retainer clips for a 2010 GLK 350? Ive been looking on Amazon and the sellers dont list GLK on their product page. I know that in the headlight housing there is a spider clip, but other than that idk. plz help...

Don’t led lights run 50 percent cooler than halogen though. Why drill holes

If you run a regular bulb at the same brightness as an led bulb with the same amount of brightness…the led will be “cooler” but that doesn’t mean it’s “cool”. Just means it’s not as hot but it’s still hot.

Thank you! I didn't realize the h7 bulbs were press fit in the stock harness. Couldn't figure out how to get the bulb out but after watching you just pull it apart it helped a ton. Thanks!

Flex you are the best really.I have been waiting for this video a long time ago .I didn't want to replace my stock headlight because the Depo one i know for sure that soon or later cracks ,i have one installed and has small cracks on it.so bought a genuine one to replace but haven't installed just waiting for someone to make this video.Thanks really appreciated.I have same car as your wife Now can you make a video on good led reverse light

It seems to be much easier if you remove the the gray rubber band before placing the retainer and black ring as you have in the video and then using a pair of groove joint pliers to then turn the retainer/black ring combination to lock it into place. You avoid using JB weld in this method.

I got a 2012 C250 Sport model, will this fit? I mean bulb and get the housing plate as well. Mines some brand from autozone but want it brighter for regular headlights, I do believe I’m using H7’s

This is definitely informative. I wouldn’t have thought to JB weld the bracket to the bulb. Did you change both high beams and low beams or just the lows? If just the lows why not the high beams ?

Hey Flexx, having a bit of a problem installing the H7 NAO LEDs with the TomAll H7-Holder-Benz-Adapters, When pushed in with about 10 to 15 degrees from the vertical , as you turn it to engage the welded assy of ring and adapter slides on the bulb and does not engage. In you video it seems that the ring and adapter would turn with the bulb and this is not happening. I need to engage the ring better, there are two O rings there, any suggestions?. should I add something else between the ring and the bulb, like a piece of rubber band, or Loctite or just weld them together with JB weld so that the prons engage when turning?

How do you do the H7 low beam replacement with LED bulb on 2003 ML 320? The original retainer is not as think as the universal adaptor.

I just replaced my 2011 c300 headlights with led’s. The bulb starts to flicker on and off after the heat up. I don’t have a bulb out error or anything like that. I cannot find the fuse.

You need h7 canbus decoder. The led bulb you installed might not be canbus ready and will make your bulb flickers or not work at all and have warning on the dash about an out bulb.

Thanks for this video, bought the same LED bulb kit, it was almost impossible installing with the bracket moving around, it took several hours trying to fidget with it on my wife's C250 w204, needless to say I have ordered some JB weld, as I need to re-do the install after wasting many hours.

I’m doing my wife’s 2016 gla250. I have test installed the leds (I haven’t managed to get the buggers in yet) and the set I’m using does not have the in-line canbus. No flicker. No check low lamp errors.

Flex, any issues with moisture in the headlights after drilling holes in the dust cap?

No. Purposeful holes with allow outside air to be the same temp as inside the lens which means no moisture or condensation can develop. It’s not the same as a crack. A crack will let air and water in but doesn’t do a good job of letting it out. Just make sure you don’t drill holes up top where water can drip on. Also, when washing a car, it’s not good to pressure wash the headlights. Always put low setting or just drizzle water on it and wash/wax by hand.

Hey I bought 2 sets of H7 led bulbs for my 2015 GL 450 and the low beam has a projector case and the bulb is flickering. The H7 works fine with the high beam. It’s strange because I got them at Amazon and they said that the H7 work for both high and low beam. Please help me out

Depends. Most headlights have a hole call a breather hole/hose. It allows the temp inside the headlight to vent and for the headlight to be the same temp as outside so there’s no moisture or condensation. I’m essentially doing the same thing with my holes. This is not like a crack. A crack in a headlight will let moisture in but not out.

I am doing my wife’s 2016 gla250. They ARE the same size, but be warned as easy as Flexx makes it look, it is a pain in the bottom! I had the JB Weld idea before watching this video and I basically attempted the same assembly and insertion into the lightbulb housing. I ended up ruining one set of led bulbs and trying on the second set tomorrow. It is a real bugger getting the new adapters/retaining clips to seat in the housing. Before you begin, I would make sure you have plenty of JB Weld and a couple of spare adapters. Just saying... I just finished the rear leds this morning. So if you’ve got any questions, I’d be happy to help.

2011 Mercedes c300 w204, w/stock halogen bulbs. I purchased $100 LED’s from Auto Zone + capacitor but they blink & won’t stay on when the car is turned on and running but when I turn off the car/engine and switch it to power the position before actually turning the car back on - the LED’s seem to be staying on & working fine. Anyone experiencing this? Can someone please tell me what to do, THANKS

You can buy the LED logos now on Amazon. I'm in the process of removing my grill and then popping out the factory non-LED star on my ML350 2011 (w164). If it doesn't work or fit then I'll just return unused to Amazon. I'm not very mechanically inclined so this will take me some time. Will be interested to see if it works. Per description its not a match, but I've compared sizes of emblems and the LED looks to be a fit so we will see. What a cool upgrade!

Nope. You just need to aim your headlight beams correctly. Go watch my adjust headlight video on my w205 c300. I show how to aim so it doesn’t blind oncoming cars.

Nope. Some LED bulbs consume so little power than a halogen bulb that the car thinks the bulb is out. Only way to fix is get error free led bulbs or install inline warning cancellators.

Silicon will be more then sufficient around the led in any open gaps left.

The LEDs I got to put into my W164 have the H7 bracket that spins. You put it on via pins and turn to lock it however it doesn't hit a certain point and stop but rather keeps spinning till it hits the pins that allow the collar to come off hence trying to turn the damn bulbs to get them to lock into the headlight housing is a nightmare. Not only that but you have no idea if the chips are at the 3 and 9 positions.
