I just tried to add a spare key to a 2008 c-class mercedes,it has one original key. I went through the procedure to add key,that 'seemed' to go well but new key done absolutely nothing! I read the new key afterwards and all correct info was on it.Looked at the eis tracks on the Autel and original jey was on pisition 1,key i added was showing up as position 8,but,it doesn't show on the eis track list?? The track list shows position 1 and 2 used,the rest empty!So how does my key read as being in position 8,but it really isn't???

I want to get into the business of programming keys for people. Is this just the programming part? Someone said you also have to cut the key for the customer. Do you have to buy some type of key cutter as well to do this business?
I am doing my first Mercedes with the IM608 this weekend. I am just hoping I have the correct key. How did you determine which aftermarket key to use. It is a 2007 so I don't believe it had prox so I just got a few of the cheaper keys. I believe they are 315mhz I just hope customers are also 315mhz.
I use standard be key from iks or mks. Prox keys require x horse programmer. A little different programming as well. Email me if you run into issues. Just did 03 w230 key Friday with 608.

Hello, question for you, I am programming the key fob for MB CL500. IM608 keeps prompting "the current key is detected to be invalid. Please replace with a legal blank key and press ok". I have two brand new aftermarket key fobs, from UHS. Any suggestions?

Yes with aftermarket you can. I just did one for a salvage yard last night that I will reuse the key after they get the vehicle running before dismantling
@@SpartanAutoworx I see, as I understand the aftermarket is the one that has 3 IC chip inside?, 1 of them is the EEPROM. The key I have has only 2 IC chips inside but there is no sufficient info regarding these chips. I have tried to program that key with Im608PRO, but I got an error message key not supported.

2013 and 14 last years you can program with non factory tool at this time. Google I believe its johnny fsb4 he claims to do it but never used him. Dealer only some 14- current

Greetings, Looking at 2007 MB CLS550 W211 AKL, any expierence doing this by Infared, EIS looks quite difficult to remove, Knee Air Bag in the way, Or remove steering wheel, shroud, etc. Look like a lot of stuff needs to be removed. Thanks
Hello we are trying to program a key. There is no key on car. Got a virgin key. But computer won’t comunícate with ecu key does not turn to on position. How to get it to on position you know
@@SpartanAutoworx thanks for your speedy reply, but does it allow the Keyless Go option to work on Mercedes as I cannot get it to work. Key works if put in dash but start button and remote button but auto unlock/lock does not.

I have used ebay keys with success but if its a customer car buy from key dist. You want happy custmers not unhappy ones when a cheap key stops working after a month.
It wasn’t but Friday it gave me an error about non active subscription when connecting to server to calculate Mercedes password. Not sure if glitch or new thing.
@@vencentbauer problem with these is the VIN. On some older models, you cannot change the VIN. Even with original microphones, autel or dmax. Only tool I have seen that might do it Advanced Diagnostic. But I don't have that tool. So I cannot say. Some WIN modules VIN cannot be rewritten. I have tried and failed. Maybe eeprom? But I have never tried it. Good luck!
I wanted to get one for my personal use because I by and fix car here in the cayman island and sell them back it is not a big business I just do it to make some additional money, so about 2 cars a mont I normaly do BMW and Honda but mostly bmw but was think just to spend about $1300us on a scanner but wanted one that can key coding and also diagnostic what is your honest opinion?, I wanted to just get the 508.
You cannot read the data by OBD then since EIS not accessable by OBD as far as my experience goes, you need to use IR key emulator , at least that is what I did on last W203 from 2001. It's supplied with the IM608. You use it instead of a key, on car, not on the bench (also possible).
