Part of what I think makes Mercedes and her company amazing is that, skilled and polished as they are, they also look relaxed and real. They kick, but they don't HIGH kick, they have technique, but they're never ballet dancers. They always look like real women, and never cross that line to creepy plastic which I see a lot of bellydancers hovering on...
