I tend to love people that have Asperger's and autism because they seem unfiltered. I love how direct they are, and how unapologetically they are themselves. It's refreshing to see someone that is open, available, and even though they struggle with the social cues I think it makes them more endearing. Because they almost have like a child like curiosity with the intelligence of an adult. I absolutely love it!! My second child is on the spectrum as well, and definitely struggles with dating more than friendships But I think when they find the one that they're meant to be with, everything will just flow naturally.

I’m also autistic like her but I have Autism Spectrum disorder and specific learning difficulties meaning I struggle with socialising with people, learning, communicating and suffer with anxiety and depression. She seems adorable by the way.

I'm 31 year old only child, my dad passed away when I was 23, had to work full time to support mom and myself and continue my bachelor's and master's; when I was 29 we found out that my mom has breast cancer. She had chemo, mastectomy, radiation therapy, the whole deal, only to find out 6 months later that it has metastasized to the bone. She's still fighting it, and I'm still doing my best to pay for the treatment and be her moral support and reason to push on. Obviously that doesn't leave much room for dating and marriage, despite the fact that all of my friends have serious girlfriends or wives. So yeah, don't compare yourself to anyone mate. We all have ups and downs, and we never really know what's going on with people's lives, we just see the outside façade. Some have it easier than others, some have it harder. But it's a hand that life deals, and there is nothing you can do about it, you'll just have to play with the hand you're dealt the best you can.

Just relax and enjoy life. We shouldn't be so judgemental of ourselves and others. One world one love. ❤

Ah man, two lovely people. Completely feel you there Mercedes, late diagnosis AuDHD here and man it's 'interesting'. Particularly the days where you think 'man, I really don't people well.'. Really the way to go for it is to be up front. open, and brutally honest just like her. Inspiring stuff. He's just the nicest guy and also upfront. Excellent stuff.

he responded well to her "inappropriate" questions, simply highlighting the social rule and deciding if he wanted to answer or not, no personal judgement or negative view being formed. He could probably do with someone as honest and even that open to remove internalising typically hidden issues that come up in a relationship. Both their hearts seem pure and need that in their partners - i hope it works out.

I also have Asperger's. Man, it's weird that it's so easy it is to see your own traits in other people who have Asperger's as well.

Both adorable. I do still feel that not every condition need be divulged on a first date -- Although in this case, it seemed to bond them. If you say you suffer from depression on a job interview, as wrong as it may be, you aren't getting that job. Put your best foot forward, and advocate for yourself. There is all the time in the world to share more intimately on subsequent dates. I suppose FD ("Full Disclosure"?) encourages this for better ratings, but in the real world, it's not wise. I also want to cover her up a bit physically... Not out of a morality judgement, but I want her to be safe. This amount of exposure while simply walking on the street can send the wrong signal to harmful people.

Back in high school, a girl with Asperger's had a crush on me...and she repeatedly made me aware of it. I agreed to go on on date with her, so we went Christmas shopping at a mall. The whole time, all she did was follow me around from store to store without saying a word. Afterward, I let her down gently and told her I didn't think it would work out. I'd still be open to dating an Aspie girl, but I'd hope she'd be a least a little more sociable/talkative than that girl was. Mercedes seems very nice, though.

My son spends all day gaming and does not seem motivated to go out into the world, and I am realizing he probably suffers from anxiety and maybe depression. I stopped making suggestions about getting a job when I realised this and am gently guiding him to getting help instead, as he would not survive a job interview let alone a job.

I have two boys on the spectrum. My 16 yr old I have to be his social coach. He will talk Star Wars to anyone for hours. Glad that she understands when men are trying to just get physical rather than getting to know her. However she needs to not be wearing shorts like that in public spaces, just saying.

Ah see i don't have Asperger's or Autism and if I'm comfortable around someone, I'll say what could be deemed "socially inappropriate" things out of honesty or humour. I know some ppl don't get me at times, but they do over time, if they stick around. I find ppl are too quick to label or judge, and i find that "socially inappropriate". Maybe i do have Asperger's or Autism and just ended up in the weird bin. 😅 I think they're both lovely and seem to click well. Good luck to them both 😊 She's my type, not easy to come by!!

He knows himself. Was real and not trying too hard. He was comfortable when there were silences. He established boundaries. He had an ease about him when he smiled. Was pragmatic about his depressive condition. Not conventionally attractive physically but his personality came to the fore. She came across like a basket case, as is probably expected.
