i had the 1978 280 E , best car i ever had . the rust on the chassis where the suspension connects finally killed it . had 260,000 km engine still ran perfectly, interior looked like it had just left the factory .
Listen to that W123 engine working - as reliable today as when it left Stuttgart in the 1980's. And note that oh so boring looking Merc that you overtook at the outset of the clip. W123 Series Mercedes-Benz - simply the best piece of engineering in the history of the automobile.
May be some knocking caused by valve springs leaving behind since piston knocking valves. Or then it is the russian roads. And dont get me wrong we have russian roads in Finland too nowadays and thats caused by the increasing socialism lol. But mercedes is great none the less.
