Yes I agree - the W123 truly is one of the greatest saloon cars ever made! The sound of that 300D motor is só reassuring - no wonder they call it the Million Mile Mercedes! I own two W123 series cars. Both are 230E's : one manual and one automatic. Like the advertisement says : the BEST or NOTHING!

Schöner Wagen, mann die müssen echt gemütlich zu fahren sein! Das große lenkrad, ist noch ein richtig fahrerorientiertes Auto. Den ganzen modernen plastikklumpats h kannsze dagegen vergessen...n alter BMW oder Benz überlebt die plastikkisten noch um jahrzehnte. Ich kann mit den modernen Fahrzeugen nicht viel anfangen...e ht nicht

Historic tax : 61.5€ (only one time) and 60€ every years historic assurance cost 150-200€ per years. Normal assurance 500 to 1500 (Depending on your experience) and tax for 3000cc 775€ every years ;) sorry for my bad english
I own a couple of c63’s , however I’m looking for a T model w123 . Ideal dream spec would be original logo chrome hub capped wheels with the whitewall tyres 🤤
FishGun super comfortable but in a different way than any other car I have ever owned. They literally feel like they are floating. You almost feel nothing from the road, awesome cruiser. I also own a Porsche and it is hard to believe these are both cars, couldn’t be any different and that’s what I love about them. Both a blast to drive

I used to have this Mercedes but 2.0D. He was weak but driving wonderful, comfortable. I now have a W211 350 petrol but I'm already looking for a Mercedes 123 3.0D automatic. These new cars are a disaster.In these old Mercedes, one feels like heaven. She swims, just beautiful. We have been forced by electric cars lately, and here in Europe it is a disaster from that ecology. I'm not even talking about tightening emission limits when you want to drive.

13 litres au 100 sur l'autoroute semble beaucoup. À quelle vitesse roules-tu ? À 100 km/h ici au Canada, je fais environ du 8 au 100. Une 1985 300D automatique. À 100 km/h, elle tourne à 2500 rpm.
Tu doit avoir un rapport de différentiel différent car moi je suis a 3000tr a 100km/h d'après un livre technique puisqu’il n'y a pas de compte tour. J'ai refais des test par après et j'étais a 11l/100km sur autoroute a 120km/h de moyenne.
Congrats on owning the Finest Saloon ever made. I'm biased - I own a RHD 300D Automatic too :) Might I suggest you use Auto-rx (www.auto-rx.com). I used 2 bottles in my car and now, the car feels like it is 15 years younger. I also recommend a Liqui Moly Diesel Purge! These will renew the motor completely!
