Short clip of my Mercedes Benz W124 300e with the M103 3.0 engine, idle with straight pipe open headers. 2 secondary cats after the manifold, and the big primary cat is still there. Nice throaty sound, kind of similar to a big v8 engine.

I have the same motor, Did you do the custom paint on the valve cover?, I really like the look, I’d like to know what method you used,,,thanks,,,,

livin4today I did it! I needed to replace the valve cover gasket and wanted to make the cover look fresh again. I simply taped off the paint around the 3 “stripes” and sanded the paint off of them. The cover is made of a magnesium alloy, so it has no issues if its left blank whatsoever. It is still just fine now, one year later. :)

@@BaasYT are you lowered? Im debating on 17s or 16s. I just want the fitment to look flush with the fender and im gonna hr or whstever springs and shocks/struts are actually in stock lol. How does your car sound on the highway and around town?

Chris Brache in this video its actually higher than stock lmao. I’ve now lowered it and it looks very good with the borbet wheels now. 16” and 17” both look awesome, but i like a thicker sidewall personally. The car with the full exhaust on is present but nothing even close to annoying. See it as a stock sport version of a new car. I want it to be a bit louder, it has absolutely no drone or anything.
