All the years i have W140's ,i never ever noticed this small press in DOT on the knob . If anyone knows what the values mean ,Please post them in the Comments section.
Test mode 1: Fuel tank contents in liters Test mode 2: Momentary fuel consumption in liters/hour Test mode 3: Engine oil pressure in bars Test mode 4: Engine RPM Test mode 5: Engine oil level (e.g. 0 indicates OK and 1 indicates Not OK) Test mode 6: Gauge override - 1/4 gauge position Test mode 7: Gauge override - 2/4 gauge position Test mode 8: Gauge override - 3/4 gauge position Test mode 9: Gauge override - 4/4 gauge position The number on the left that shown in the display is the Test number... The right side will be the Value corresponding to the test number. M120 engine💪👍
@@thegoldendog7991 no problem bro... try & use them in your mercedes, i used this function often when i go to the gas station to see how many litres it drinks💦😅
Mr. Megat...you are a genius. I have a slk 230, the windows roll down but the trunk does not tilt and that is as far as it goes. What do you think my problem is? Thank you and have a great day.
@@abelgotti1308 You find this same Info here . Waiting for someone that knows anything about it. www.benzworld.org/forums/w140-s-class/3018296-secret-cluster-push-pin-knob.html
hmm very interesting! that seams like a partial diagnostic tool or cluster info about temperatures like the one present in the HVAC when you press reset for 5 secondes. Btw tell me more about the ultra wide screen you got, what brand/model? looks amazing!
Read Post #50 in the link , everythink is there . That whole thread is about the car . LINK ADJUSTED MICHO . www.benzworld.org/forums/w140-s-class/3006075-i-have-taken-over-trevors-eg-5.html
Theres too much technology in cars nowadays and it drives me nuts. I will always love older mercedes. Even though i drive a gle350 sometimes its really nice no doubt but my heart will always stick with old benzs
@@shiddy. LoL,what the hell is an Air Starter ?. Here ,Let's see your Knowledge about the M120 engine . Is this an Air Starter as well ? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mDMZN2_oRk4.html I just picked one random one . I know all the history about it with Pagani M120 engines so save the idiotic comments ,i just delete them . Just one i mention ,the original Pagani Zonda C12S from year 99 ,of which only 5 where build ,had the exact same unmodified 6.0L M120 engine installed exactly the same as it is installed in any S600 W140 ,only one today is still original the other 4 have had the M120 7.3L engine installed .
@@MercS600W140-600SEL-LORINSER Wow, way to get your panties in a twist. What he meant was that the starter sounded similar to an air starter, like those on trucks
I work at Mercedes since 2003 but the v12 W140 were one of the findest cars we Ever produced. Most of the went to eastern Europe and are still driving.
Good Work MercShot . You just made it passed the 90's just after the W140 production run ( 4 years later) . The W220 is one of the Merc's which i consider a Lemon (99 -04 ) due to Chrysler parts involved . I almost bought a CL600 2003 but did my homework & it was a Nightmare to own one by what i saw . W220>>> ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2K5jAJoOvnw.html , i cant say it any better my self, well i could . Absolutely correct ,The last true Merc was & is the W140 series . The 600's might not be for everyone as they need experience with maintaining them unless one has tonnes of money spare when something goes wrong , for a Newbie i recommend the S420 or S500 97 & up so there are no AC Evap or wiring problems to care about except side mirrors wiring . Never ever service a 600 V12 M120 at a Merc dealer huge mistake as they or the majority of them don't have the tools & computers to tune them anymore not mentioning the mechanics they have,ZERO knowledge ,might be different where you are at but here ,it's a NO GO to MB, i bought my own MB Star scanner plus extras . Here i had to show a Mercedes Manager when i needed a key from them what a W140 S600 looked like as he had never seen one or knew it even existed ,lol. The W140's get a bad reputation due to owners when they need parts ,buy the cheapest they find ,like take a Transmission mount or engine mount for example. They purchase a $20 tranny mount & expect it to last like a MB quality Mount same for engine mount (e'bay JUNK) , 1 month later or less they have to buy it again ,then they start cursing the w140 is a crap car etc etc & that's how it happens . The majority of this kind of cheap repairs get done by owners just before they sell them to make them appear mechanically sound & perfectly ok , i feel sorry in most cases for the person that bought it & didn't do a PPI inspection by a Mechanic that actually knows the W140 inside out etc . I have only helped recently one w140 owner with this & told him not to be cheap as you be buying triple. A W140 wants good parts ,if you cant afford that "SKIP THE W140 COMPLETELY" or buy the best there is in the 1st place so you don't have any problems for years to come ,that's what i did when i purchased my 1st W140 S500 ,it was the most expensive 140 in the country & it took 9 years for the 1st brake down which was the lower engine harness Big F@#n deal ,repair cost was $299 which i my self installed easily. Keep up the great Work you do at MB MercyShot .
@mercs600 there are no Chrysler parts in the W220. The issue with that car is Daimler let the accountants build the car instead of the engineers. That was the name of the game in the early 2000s for most automakers (hence the recession)
Might sound funny but did you know that 260km/h in a W140 600 ,feels more like 110km/h , you can drive it with one finger at that speed unlike a Ferrari or Lambo etc where you need three hands , until that Pothole for those cars which the W140 doesn't even feel ,just glides over them . All the modern cars need to brake over Speed humps , a W140 doesn't need to ,we do it just to be a little more gentle on the suspension ,i don't really care if it needs repairing .
Thanks to NZJAY & original Thread poster within the Benzworld link ,BELOW ARE THE VALUES for what it all means . Love it. 1. Gas in the tank in liters 2. Momentary fuel consumption 34.2 is 3.4 liters per hour 2 is step number 3. Engine oil pressure in bar 20.3 means 2.0 bar step 3 4. Engine rpm x 1000 5. Engine oil level 0.5 is OK, 1.5 not OK 6. Activation of the oil pressure, fuel consumption, and fuel tank gauges - needles in the first quarter of the dial. Indicator 0.6 for step 6 7. Activation of the oil pressure, fuel consumption, and fuel tank gauges - needles in the second quarter of the dial. Indicator 0.7 for step 7 8. Activation of the fuel consumption, and fuel tank gauges - needles in the third quarter of the dial. Oil pressure gauge stays in the second quarter. Indicator 0.8 for step 8 9. Activation of the fuel tank gauge, needle in the fourth quarter of the dial, oil pressure remains in the second quarter, fuel consumption remains in the third quarter. Indicator 0.9 for step 9
Hey!! I've the same model you've, did you know the SE and SA mode means yet? Also it has one more mode is 25 to 0 to -25. When you push the pin 5 seconds than turn to left is on that mode, I'm don't know it too! Any idea!
Bro you don’t not know enough to try to show someone something about this car…”I don’t know what those numbers mean” 😂😂you gonna have em reset codes they might need 🤣🤣
Australia , Speed limit is 110 km/h nation wide ,to many Multi culture people here which many i don't think they know what a steering wheel etc in a car is for . Law tries to minimize accidents but still it's not working out for them . 40km/h in scool zones ,better of walking . I miss the AUTOBAHN every day.
@@MercS600W140-600SEL-LORINSER the speed limit has nothing to do with multiculturalism or whatever. That's just what speed limits are in the rest of the world outside of Germany.

Scirocco hi Guys , here in the Netherlands the speed max is 130km/h , you wil lose your driving license at a speed of 180km/h there between you get a fine. In Germany you have Some roads where is no limit!!

You better not touch it or you may fuck it up. 😀 And the sound of it when it starts tells you that if it fucks up you have to pay a lot of $$. But nevertheless the starting sounds like a helicopter starts:-)

She goes 110% and that is because she never sees a mechanic ,specially Mercedes service depots. I have my own mb shop . And BTW ,It's W140 600SEL with the Almighty M120 V12 & No Cats from Factory . These cars are so easy to maintain you wont believe but only if you know what you doing & know the car inside out outside in front to back & back to front top & underneath included, lol.
