I have similar issues, though I have additionally the message "Power Steering inoperable" popup on the display. Will see tomorrow what it is, anyways, enjoyable video, have a good life.
Xentry save the Day. 👍 Save a lot of time with component location, measuring specs, pin location etc. Similar like odis does for vag group. Thank you for the video Luis. 👍👍👍
I can guess why the connector was disconnected but I don't know the background of the car nor your client so I will keep that to everyone's imagination. About the " breakout box ". In 10 years WIS has asked me 🤣a few times to use it. I have the possibility to borrow it but have never done so. You can live without it. You went as far as to proof that all was fine. Nice video a always Luis.
Thank you sir for sharing this i bought a sps valve cause my steering wheel is so tight but i couldn't find from where exactly to change the sensor please reply cause i remove the from undercover and didn't see how to remove the sensor i have 08 C350 W204 Thank you Sir again
Hi! Amazing video and solution. Can I ask a step by step solution in writing? I have the exact same issue with a w204 c220 cdi and I want to fix it, but I'm from Chile and was hard for me to understand the solution. Thanks!!!
Hello Mr SolveEverything, I hope you’re having a wonderful day. Thank you for your great work it really helps us a lot. I have a problem with my mercedes w203 (c200). I get the error code (SRS): 9103 the resistance value in the ignition circuit containing components r12/13 (driver airbag ignition squib 1) is too high. I have been to many car services and nobody could find the solution to this problem. I have done research on the forums and could not get a solution at all. I have seen a bulletin from mercedes regarding this issue which said that i had to extend some wires that come to the steering wheel, have done that but still same issue, i have changed the steering wheel airbag (car mechanic said to) and it was to no avail. Changed the clockspring, the issue went away but came back again after a while. There is no mercedes dealership in my country (Kosovo) and i have no other option but to ask you for a little bit of help. Thank you in advance. Keep up the good work!
Measure the circuit from the airbag plugs to the airbag module... From there, and if high, look for plugs through the circuit, do some drag tests... a slack plug can cause all sort of problems... 👍👍👍
thanks for the elaborate diagnosis, But my own problem is that the whole dash light comes on intermittently, On and Off while driving and each time it comes up, my speedometer, and cruise control all will not be working, I might still be on the drive and vuum! it goes off and they speedometer starts working which obviously might also go off in secs or minutes. this has worsened. What could be going ON and OFF in the system?
good morning louis when you was in the car i saw paper mats so i think the car is from your garage mate that sells cars so i think when the car was going through the auctions some one pulled the wire may be ?
Hi, nice vid, but would you be kind enough to give a little more description about that problem. I own the same year and class Mercedes and very the same problem occurred. The faults doesn't appear until the car reach 15mpg speed, then it resets when the engine starts again, Cheers
@@LMAutoRepairs went to two dealers who said can't establish the problem as everything seems responding and working, they all suggested me to go to Mercedes for in depth diagnostic. Mercedes said that they can't find the problem and they need more hours for technical investigation which obviously would cost £600 , maybe just me but i don't trust to answers and conclusions like i got from Mercedes, no clarity and makes doubting about their competency,
I understand, but surely the car is storing trouble codes for that failure, or live data should help show what is happening when the failure occurs... That needs to be checked and interpreted start to dig into the problem...
@@LMAutoRepairs no doubts about what you just mentioned. But when Mercedes dealer doesn't give back any info about the outcome of diagnostic the only way is to find a competent person who can conduct comprehensive investigation. Thanks for your time 👍
Hello please i need a help my mercedes w204 model 2009 when i roll over 20km the steering wheel becomes rigid then abs and esp emerge in the dashboard after doing a diagnosis scan the default is 5001 code there is a solution to this problem? Have i change the ESP module?
Hi Unfortunately yes... You can change the electronic module only, leaving the modulator (the hydraulic side) untouched. Should not require programming. I believe that fault is due to an ATE chip that fails inside the module, you can always try to open the module and fins a replacement chip and see if that fixes it. Hope that helps.
@@LMAutoRepairs thank you very much im grateful. I wanna add something when i brake strongly the abs and esp disappear from the dashboard but when i start the vehicle the problem comes again
Hello, in previous videos you have used the topdon scanner and now you use the Autel, I want to buy a scanner, which one do you recommend, I work in European cars. Thank you
The Artipad was not mine... I only had it for a few months to test... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RHZNWB2cQ2Y.html There is other videos on the channel... 👍👍👍
And I need help from you I have bmw e60 530td 2003 model with diamond key I have problem with CAS3 no light when ignition on,, so I need set key immobilizer
I have a mercedes w639 2012 with eco powersteeringpump. Its a pump with solenoid valve. When im driving it works normal. When i stop and turn the steering very stiff.i have no fault codes on my autel.any idea please?
I have a similar problem like this with my 2000 Passat 1.9 TDI. I had a 1998 Passat 1.6 Petrol before that one and the power steering was smooth as butter, I only needed one finger to steer, when parking too. But with the TDI now it is harder to steer, especially when parking or when driving through a roundabout. It is not as hard as no power steering at all, but I need to use my whole hand to steer. I already replaced the pump with a Meyle unit (old one was a ZF, it was covered in dried power steering fluid, so I think it was leaking a little bit, the fluid level was always on max), the fluid reservoir and I flushed all the power steering fluid (with LIQUI MOLY 1127), but no change unfortunately 😟 Of course I don't have electric connectors on the rack or the pump, as its a 2000 car. Do you know what I could check? Or should I just replace the rack (relatively involving job...).
There is ways to change the amount of assistance... but all depends on the system... So, you can try to change/modify the relief valve/spring... You can also change the pump pulley for a smaller one, and see what effect that does... I never had to do anything like that, so just throwing ideas out...😋 👍👍👍
Joyous. A bit of history or truth from the owner would have saved him diagnostic time charge. A bit of idiot tax needed to be levied. Not the sort of plug that would be easily disconnected so you would have thought it was removed to help gain access to something else. Was it a diesel? DPF removed for cleaning? Anything really down there, wasn't the brakes that's for sure 😂😂😂
How did you do that? I have the same problem on my w204 C280. I have 2 Error codes(5001, 5944). I am wondering my abs module problem. Power steering can not work now.😢
@@LMAutoRepairs To solve the problem of power steering and ABS. From your video, I just see that you plug into the switch under the right front wheel. Then, all error just gone.
My car has the esp and Abs light that goes on after I reach speeds 10-15mph then the steering gets stiff. I just change all speed sensors for all 4 wheels and the issue is still The same. What should I do next?
The codes didn’t show up but everyone keep saying is the speed sensor so I changed all 4 and the problem still happens. I get codes n47-5 internal fault
You shouldn't change parts just because someone tells you to do so... A waste of money... Whatever is causing the ABS light to come on, it will be logging a fault on the module, if not, look at live data... Don't just throw parts at it, it can get expensive very quickly... The N47-5 is you ABS module... I guess you have communications with it correct?
@@LMAutoRepairs yeah I did a lot of research and everyone on the forum told me it’s the speed sensor, so now I think it might be the abs module. But I’m going wait since there’s a few people exactly in my shoes that are going to the shop this week
@@LMAutoRepairs Even his/her brake rotors look terrible I think they just buy these cars like Mercedes Volkswagen etc for cheap just to say they have it
