+cookeidough Just happened to me xD omfg, i miss this game but its so fucking janky now that i've been spoiled by good UI and Flowing gameplay for years t-t
I just came back from 2030 and saw this comment bout Pandemic and OG LucasArts, and I got some good news for ya dudes. Ya guys only got a few more years to wait, Lucas ends up creating an ACTUAL lightsaber and successfully creates an actual WOOKIE, A MUTHAFUCKIN WOOKIE!!! Goes without saying that puss biden of course tucked his lil "front tail" between his legs and surrendered America to Lucas. Good news is that America is on her way to showing the rest of the world why we got the #1 Superpower on Earth, bad news is (depending on how ya decide to look at it, like personally for me this is also GREAT news) is
***** yep, pandemic got shut down in like 2009 mercs 3 was supposed to be released in like 2010 or 2011, hopefully it will see light some day but certainly not anytime soon lol
I’m 31, never played this game, probably haven’t seen the commercial this was from since 2007. Yesterday I woke up and it popped into my head and I could remember every word and I’ve been singing it to myself since then lol
Coming here and seeing all these comments about this song popping in their heads every once in while over the years makes me feel a bit better about it
I have literally just spent well over an hour trying to think of the game this song was from. As I couldn't remember either the game itself or even a lyric from the song. The only information I had to go on was that I knew it was "something" 2.... After watching about 4 videos for Borderlands 2... I found out that it definitely wasn't that game. I then decided "Google, you'll know!" and proceeded to type in to Google "War game sequel with a cool TV ad." Google didn't know. I then spent the next 15 minutes with my head in my hands squeezing my skull in a vain attempt of pushing the information out forcefully. This didn't help and only caused further discomfort to the entire episode. For some reason Flobots - Handlebars kept repeating over, and over, and over, and over in my head... I will listen to that after I have found this I thought. I eventually thought to myself... "Well, How many games could possibly have sequels?" If you are wondering what the answer is to that question well unsurprisingly, a lot of games have sequels. Luckily though, some kind person has listed all video game sequels on a handy Wikipedia page. If you ever need to find this list Google can help with that, if you ask the much less vague question of "Games with sequels" Here I was presented with a list. A very long list. And, as Mercenaries begins with an M, which is the 13 letter of the alphabet I was here for some time. Painfully trawling through video game sequels that I had never heard of. Did you know that Death Jr had a sequel..? Well, it does. You're welcome. And then page 4... glorious page 4!!! Something in my brain sparks as soon as I see it. Mercenaries 2: World In Flames. I smiled to myself, I knew I had found it. But just to be 100%... I clicked on the link, and there it was. The front cover I had seen about 7 years ago... Oh no... Oh no... Oh no no no... Oh no you didn't!! Oh, but I most certainly did. I regret nothing.
It's been 15 years. Just looked this up for 2022 and it's almost 2023. I started singing this to my 3 month old. It was my ring tone many moons ago! 😆 Love it!
I randomly wanted to find the trailer to hear this song it's 2020. I last wanted to go find it was in 2015 so I sorta forgot the game for like 30 mins but finally found it.
12 years later and this song still pops into my head. One of the most underrated video games of all time. I still go back once in a while on my 360 and play it for a little. I wish Pandemic was still alive. Their games just hit different. They were so good.

@@Sun-Tzu- Respectively I disagree DbD is losing players every month and what else does Behavior have? The company might not be dead yet but it's on its way
@@shadowchild8592 I'm sorry man you're just wrong. DBD's all-time peak player count was 105,000, in the last 30 days it's had a peak of 71,500 players. Between its all-time peak in June 2021 and June 2023 it only lost 20,000 players. If that trend continues the game will be dead in another 7 years.
Obaid al mansouri Perhaps was for the best. 2nd installment was clunky as fuck compared to the first one, plus other than a graphic upgrade really dident add much to the series, since most of the planned features got shitcanned.
Come to pay my respects as tonight when I went to water my plants and water spilled from my watering can onto the floor a familiar melodic "Oh no oh no oh noooooo~" rang in my head and sent me looking for this song to enjoy again. Used to listen to this in the car with my dad and I still remember how he looked busting a gut laughing the first time I played it in the car on my mp3 for him. This song has most definitely aged well.
I have been traumatized by this song. Whatever I do in life every other week this song will be stuck in my head for 24hrs. I’ve never played the games, I’m guessing I was in the room while my dad did and I absorbed this song or something. I have tried seeking help but professionals have no solutions for this song. It terrifies me that I can sing this song perfectly and remember it even though I had no idea where this came from. I have tried all methods to forget it, but it’s getting to the apex of terrorism in my mind. I don’t know how much longer I can endure this.
You're actually not alone, this is called an ear worm. I've had a song called Guilt Trip by Pup stuck in my head nearly every day for years and years. What I found that helps me is I refuse to let myself ever go back to the song to listen even though I liked it, and I refuse to let myself sing it at all. And if I start singing it in my head or accidentally out loud while in the car I make myself sing another song lol
My girlfriend is amazing but doesn’t know a lot of my childhood references so I’m sending her so many things like this. Now she randomly sings “OH NO YOU DIDNT” at me
Mercenary 1+2 were some of the best games I've ever played. My favorite in the game is to attach a car to a helicopter and swing it like a morning star. good old Times
Oh god, one of these comments... You know, there's this thing called rose-colored glasses. You seem to be forgetting all the shit games that were released back then too. It wasn't all amazing shit.
***** Just look at game franchises, Call of Duty 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 (and possible 6) were all great games, now look at them, the same goes for Medal of Honor, European assault destroys Warfighter any day. Even Battlefield, how good was the campaigns of the Bad Company games, now just look at their shitty campaigns (BF1 is maybe an exaction). Games were, on the whole, better back then. There is no denying that there were some seriously shit games back then, but now every game is just a cash grab, they take 6 months to make on a recycled engine, they make an identical game every year, each with its fortune worth of DLC and cosmetic items and they abandon their previous game when another project comes along and there best interests lay with the thing that brings in the most money.
So explain games like GTA V where the only paid dlc is shark cards. The Last of Us considered to be one of the best games of all time. Skyrim, Portal, Bioshock Infinite, The Witcher. There are tons of great games that have come out in the past six years that are great if not better than the games released back in the 2000's. Not every game is a cash grab. Not every game is identical. Not every game has a "fortune worth of dlc." It these games I look for instead of the remasters that come out in droves each month.
ThatGuyZack The Last of Us is my favorite game of all time, but it has a shit ton of DLC. You say that the only DLC in GTAV is shark cards, but everything in the game costs millions, literally, it's like $5,000,000 for a Jet plane, good luck buying that without paying real money. Portal was out a year before Mercenaries 2 was. Bioshock Infinite is just based one the working theory behind the first game that was out in 2007. Skyrim and Witcher 3 are the two exceptions, but it's been over half a decade and there is two good original games that do not revolve around DLC, games we will remember as being great 10 years from now, and I'm not too sure about Witcher. However The Last of Us is so good, and the DLC isn't required to win, and that game will be remembered forever. But then compare it to all the video games series that exploded in the last decade, Uncharted, Call of Duty, Battlefield, Tekken, Mortal Kombat, Halo, Total War, Command and Conquer, Timesplitters, GTA, The Sims, Red Orchestra, Conflict, Medal of Honor, Band of Brothers, and many more. And we get maybe 1 memorable game every two years.
Sun Tzu First off Rockstar has given people so many chances for people to make money in GTAO especially when the heists came out. Second talking about Portal 2 not 1 which for the former, all it's dlc was also free. You're gentrifying every game that came out this decade in your original comment to only be recycled dlc fests when clearly not all of them are. Hell look at games like Metro. A helluva great series that started in 2010 I mean apart from the Ranger mode dlc in Last Light the games still held on their own. Uncharted 3 and 4 are considered some of the greatest games in the series. Which I know for three until the multi went free to play and even then microtransactions were just cosmetic items. Can't say anything personally about four though. My main problem with this generation isn't the dlc fests and microtransactions (which I mean is still a problem) it's all the damn remasters like I previously said.
So this song came across my Spotify as i was tabbed to another page, and i swear to god i thought this was some corny commercials theme song. Then the "you bust a cap in my ass" came up and my eyes got all big and said idc who's commercial this is this is the best thing i've ever heard xD
Ah flashbacks to 5th grade where I showed a teacher this song. The next day she played the whole thing on piano and did so during teachings if students started arguing.
