I like my mercs. Got em used at a great price! Bead fill takes some getting used to w my grip but has great movement. I can easily roll this better than the viking and more hole friendly than the viking. Very under rated bag that I don't see anyone use. Easily can collect but have to really open my hand more to get that bag super flat if not it'll go off the board. 👌

I'm surprised that the Vikings are more popular than the Mercenaries. These can do everything the Vikings do and some of it better than the Vikings.

@@MikesBags I agree. I think bags are like a business portfolio. They go up and down w sales and cornhole trends are like the fashion industry. People get what the pros are using till the next fancy bag comes out. I think ill bring my mercs one day to a switcholio and see if anyone will be willing to throw them. I doubt it because the majority throw faster bags and carpet throwers are in the minority where I'm at.

Fly magics are same materials, but with a tad friendlier fill. I have both, but prefer the bounce of the Mercs

To me, the Mercenary fill is more hole friendly. The Magic fill is more forgiving in terms of less kick and less bounce. I always prefer a bead fill in carpet bags.

How do they compare to the CC Boardwalker? Which is better?

The Boardwalker is a little bigger and a little floppier. I think these are a little better for rolling and flopping but both are great bags.

I haven't thrown the Merc Ls yet but the L version is going to be looser and floppier. I don't know if the fill is going to be different or if it has the same fill but less of it. BG doesn't like to share that information so the only way to know will be to find a set to try.

@@MikesBags thanks for the reply Mike. I ended up buying a new set on Facebook for $90 shipped. Figured I'd give them a shot. They're a SW conference design so I guess he had a hard time selling them. I hope they're not too floppy, but I'm looking for a more forgiving 4 speed carpet bag for blocking and cutting. No rolls or flops for me. Hopefully these feel good in the hand!
