So when you talk about niches and the dog and coffee example, does that mean your whole store is nothing but dogs and coffee designs? Is this what a “niche” means? I ask because I am a hobby photographer with lots of pictures I could use as designs but they are all different types, does that therefor mean all different niches?
I literally stopped everything I was doing to watch this. Every video I've seen is CONCISE, INFORMATIVE, and APPLICABLE. Dozens of RU-vidrs could learn from your format style. Thank you!
I just can't fathom how grateful I am. These videos could easily be used as a paid course but you decide to share them for free to potential competitor and with that I say thanks Greg.
Thanks a ton! I've been splitting my focus between growing my business online and making these videos at the same time lately :) I hope they are helpful!
Greg Gottfried you are such a cool man! I will say you are 100% helping me personally, I appreciate your videos that much and they have changed my life to the point that I would like to meet with you face to face to thank you in person and buy ya a cartoon or 2 with the money you taught me how to make. I could even fly you over to Australia 😂 with the money you taught me how to make!
Greg, I can’t thank you enough for all the hard work you put into enriching our lives and providing opportunities for people who are driven to perhaps become as successful as you are. I have been on vacation this week and started my POD business following your roadmap and layout to a tee and I feel like I have all the tools I need to do this! I’m super excited for what the future holds and hopefully one day I’ll be able to meet you face to face 6 feet apart of course lol, and air shake your hand. You are a blessing and I appreciate you and hope you prosper beyond your wildest dreams Sir.
Started liking 👌 and commenting before watching because I have confidence in Greg's work. I know this is a great content. Continue that way Greg. Much love from Kenya 🇰🇪
That's what I love to hear! Thank you so much for having faith in yourself, and trusting the process! Also, thank you for taking the time to come back and share this for others to see! As always, let me know if there's anything I can help you with as you're going forward!
@@GregGottfriedyour wlecome, any advice on how to increase engagement on Facebook cause all of my traffic is coming in from Instagram and fb is kinda dead
Your videos are always easy to understand. I really like your content. You are one of my "go to" channels for information. I always give you a thumbs up on every video that I watch!
@@GregGottfried Thank YOU!! I got a question as well. If we take any of your udemy courses, which one do you recommend most? Also if we buy one, will we get support for our merch stores? I saw one of your Teespring courses on Udemy but was thinking it might be awkward if I buy that and on the QA section ask about Merch by Amazon as others might find it unrelated.
Seriously man! You are awesome!!! How could I not know you before??? I have recently started a paid course that is soooo boring... Then, 2 days ago, I found your videos (have watched probably them all already), have already created 5 tee designs, opened my PoD store... and am loving it! I just wanted to say thank you! How can I contact you directly?
KW now gives you Search per site. For instance, any tag you look for can be seen for redouble, march, tee spring specifically. There's niches with competition on Redbubble that is winnable that isnt winnable on tee spring, for instance, so KWfinder actually has a lot of high value in that sense.
Hey dude, I just noticed that this channel isn't verified but has 234k subscribers. You should definitely verify it! (little checkmark next to the name once you reach 100k subs!) I am new to this channel and learning all I can about virtual businesses and selling online because I'm a noob from scratch. I love the content you provide! I hope to do something with this knowledge. I'm nervous because I often become afraid of failure and always have a ton of questions, but I know you can't overcome that fear until you try and take a little bit of risk in life. Checking out some of your videos and just subscribed today!
Thanks for the reply earlier greg. In answer to your question. First sales were in the first couple of weeks. Om the analytics page after the 10 weeks I have litterally zero fees unless I log on myself that day and create designs
I like the content in all of your videos. I also note down all the important points. I just wanted to thank you for providing valuable information to all of us 😇
Hello. I'm glad I found your channel. My question is, does having your designs favorited by people increase the visibility of that design in search, or just bought designs become more visible in search
Hey great question Gia! I actually dont know the answer to that. I haven't had experience with that so I can't share solid personal experience. I'd shoot an email to sellers@teespring.com and maybe they can share some insight :)
Take a shot every time Greg says “with that being said” 😁 I stumbled across one of your videos early last year when I was looking for work. It’s only now that I’m taking action to start. Playing around with some design and slogan and signing up on the websites and apps you recommended. Looking forward to start!
I love youuu so much for all sharing your videos, learnings and all the guidelines. I really learned a lot and finally deciding to do POD business too. Woohooo!!! I really feel great with your videos. 🤩🤓👍💯
Greg please please please please please make a thorough video on Merch Informer explaining all it's features like you did with placeit, please please please.
Thanks man! Just what I needed... been trying to sell some merch though. It's hard to get those two to ten sales... Maybe I need a new niche. That's where this video comes in
Right on! Sounds like you're on the right track! It can totally take a month or so to get the first sales coming in.. I've seen just a few days to a few months! Hang in there! Nice work getting this far though!!
Just wanted to say thank you Greg Again, I got 15 sales in my first month! For everyone who's trying to get their first sale, I highly recommend to use instagram tags and use DMS to get sales. It works, I did it and you can too! Also watch Greg videos, they're so informative.
Thank you so much for coming back and sharing this with me (and for everyone to see!). I love hearing this, and I really appreciate your time sharing it..! Thank you!
@@ljpgamingchannel6599 hi, so I usually target the people who like my post, comment, and I usually tell them about the product, and stuff but they usually deny the offer. So, what I do is i ask them 'what is it about the product that you don't like? Is the design, is it the price? What would it take for you and I to do business today' and they usually say price. So I give them a bit of a discount which helps me close the client. If someone says no, ask them what is it that you don't like? and try to work on that. Hopefully that was helpful.
Hey Greg! I've found most of my searches on Merch Informer get an A rating, and I'm a little worried they're not all legitimately good niches. Can I 100% trust the letter grade? Thank you!
Good info Greg! Doesn't MI give you the 20% off for life? I have $49 for 6 most for life... which is more expensive than using your 20% discount. I signed up for it before knowing about the percentage discount. Thanks for keeping everyone informed!
Hey Beau! I hope you've been well..! Great to hear from you. Yes the greg20 code is 20% off for life on any plan. I think it could be worth a shot to send an email and see if they will honor the coupon after the fact? Anyways, I hope this video was helpful (I know you are far beyond this by now). All the best!
Greg you are the man I been looking at yours videos for a whole an I'm starting a print on demand myself new to the space but I'm learning from you thanks for your help an I'll keep you posted on the process
Hi, Thanks for the good work! Question: I found a niche in the competition checker with an 'A' score however, total products online is '0' and products with BSR is '0'! is this good or bad? Please advice.
Great video as I was thinking about this very topic! New sub and absorbing everything you have, thanks for all the insights and effort in sharing your knowledge! Quick question about Merch Informer grading: Is it based on expected competition ONLY or does it combine current competition AND popularity of the topic? IOW... is it possible to search for a crazy niche that nobody is really looking for, but get a grade "A" because there's no competition (nobody's making shirts for that niche as there's not enough interest). If its just competition, it would seem like someone could put a lot of effort into making a bunch of designs for an "A" grade, only to find nobody's really interested in that niche. Thoughts?? Thanks again!
Always appreciate your comments! Thank you, I hope you're loving placeit since you got it! Try out the free trial on MI just to get the hang of it (you get full access with the free trial so you can even do your first round of niche research before even getting a plan).
I thought I saw this before on one of your videos but I can't find it, in Merch Informer is there a way to check if a company name is taken? Something you want to use for your own brand?
Hi! I am really only trusting your tutorials to get me started. In one of your tutorials you said how important MerchInformer is, but I'm also seeing that Placeit can also do alot of what MerchInformer can do in the design aspect (?). Anyway, since I am relatively clueless, can you please make a video breaking down the pros and cons, and how they compare to each other. Thank you!
Hi! Thank you for all the great content! Do you think that your "top 5 best websites to sell t shirts designs" needs an update or are those still the best options?
Thanks for the comment Monica! Great question too! They are still solid sites however I've personally condensed it down to just Teespring, Merch by Amazon, and Redbubble since they have been earning the most :)
Where are you from? My English is not very good but I can understand you perfectly! I really like your videos! It could tell more of your story and your earnings too!
Thanks for the comment Carlos! I'm from the US and I'm glad to hear that you can understand the videos! I've been putting captions on the videos lately to help with this. I hope they help.. Anyways, thank you so much for the comment and the suggestion!
I don't know in the USA, but here in Europe the difference in terms of price between Merch Informer and KWFinder is much bigger. Merch Informer costs 10$ per month and it's billed monthly, BUT KWFinder costs 29€ (not dollars) ONLY if you pay annual fee. If you choose monthly paying, KWF it's 49,90€ per month!!! That's a lot of money. I've used KWFinder in the past (paid version) and it's a nice tool with a great user interface, but it's really expensive and more general SEO oriented. In the world of SEO tools, KWFinder is not very expensive actually, because other tools like Ahrefs or SEMrush have demential prices. But for print on demand, I don't think KWfinder is a great idea.
Hey Greg I really appreciate your work you are giving a lot of information for free!I wanted to ask that what tee should I select classic, comfort or premium and does it affect the quality of designs by choosing classic, comfort or premium tee.
I've watched half of your videos now. Now I'm going to create a store for a niche. I'll also use your link to go to Merch Informer 👍One thing I'm worried about is that you're gaining weight compared to the early videos. It could mean your business is still going well though 😊
Hi Greg,Thank you so much for your videos! What would we do without you? On Merch Informer, I wrote down a couple of niches that have an A rating, but with no online rating ( bsr), 0/0. Is that niche good? Also, Those ratings (bsr) are better being LOWER, less crowded, right!.......Thanks!
Hey man... loving this channel... thinking about starting something in POD and this info is wonderful... Question for you (or anyone else)... should I make a lot of designs and upload them all at once or should I upload one at a time (such as one design a day)?
Could you do an updated video of finding a niche for merch informer? The UI looks like its changed since the last video and itd be great to see how search for niches.
Hey thanks for asking! The competition checker should still be the same (I know they changed their home page a bit). I'll try to link to a specific time stamp in a newer video to help: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DvWFwKSEByw.html
Quick question... Is it necessary to create unique accounts/emails/storefront names for each niche to keep within your brand or style? Great great information and I'm excited to get into this business!
Hi, and thanks for another good video! I am new to POD, and am following your videos very closely. You have also recommended Typorama app. Do you recommend the Pro version?
Great question! Yes, because that means KWFinder is saying that people are searching for that topic and there are few competitors on search, however Merch Informer is saying that although that is true for google search results, it does not hold true for print on-demand specifically.
Hey, Greg, I've been researching print on demand websites after finding your channel and I've got a few questions that I'm having trouble finding good answers to from google alone. 1. Are all print on demand sites non-exclusive, or do most of them require exclusivity? how do I check whether they are non exclusive? 2. I have seen from older videos on your channel that you used to recommend another site, Teechip I think. What changed that you no longer recommend them any more? 3. Are Placeit's free templates usable commercially, if I want to get a few designs made before investing money into POD? is it recommended to use these designs, or are they so overused at this point that it's not worth it? 4. One of your most popular videos is "How I Built 7 Streams Of Income By Age 24" and you certainly seem to promote POD as the main topic on your channel, is POD one of your biggest income streams, compared to, say, Affiliate marketing? feel free to skip any questions you're not comfortable with answering, thank you for the great educational content!
Hi Greg, Quick point, I love your videos. Although you said it may have been a "short video" you were straight and to the point which I like. I'm definitely leaning towards using Merch Informer. My question is regarding T-shirt designs. If you find a winner and tweak the wording a bit like you pointed out in your other videos, how do you know if this saying on the shirt is not patented? It may be different, but I guess I'm just worried about possibly being sued haha Thanks again and love your videos!
Hi Greg! Just found your channel. Thanks for the great content! Wanted to ask how is the quality of the shirts from the top 3 sites you have recommended?
Hi Greg. Thanks for your videos, I'm in wait for new videos all the time and couldn't thank you for them except through join the plattform with your affiliate links. Greg I have a question, shall I go with a niche with B in Merchinformer or I shall keep searching until I found an A?
Hi, so I was wondering, while merch informer shows you the level of competition you'd have for a particular niche, does it also take into account the number of searches per month for that niche? I know KW finder lets you see the number of searches so that's pretty helpful
Hey Greg just a quick pod question. Im from europe but how do you know where te sell? Amerika or europe.. how do i choose or how can i make the right descision?
Thanks for asking! US sells really well... Both will sell though :) The sites will do it for you (Teespring/Redbubble) and Merch by Amazon you can choose the marketplace to upload to (I recommend US for that one). I hope that helps!
PLEASE RESPOND, Hey Grey I just have a question regarding picking a niche. Would getting an A on a keyword for merch informer mean that the keyword has good demand and low competition or just low competition. There are some keywords I have put that recieve A but I am worried that no one is searching for them. How can I figure this out? Thank You!
@@GregGottfried Thank you so much Greg, I really appreciate the content you have been putting out. I'll be sure to thank you once I get my first sales!
I got the same question and it doesn't seem working properly as hoped. I made up words like "babamama", "dongkey", "sorrily" and I still got an A grade as the total score (with zero products online), and no one is gonna search for these made up terms. I asked Greg about it and see if there are other parameters in Merch Informer I can refer to but he didn't answer me. To me so far it's just showing low competition and not seeing the demand.
Right on! That means those are good! Merch Informer is giving it an A because it has high search volume and low competition. You seem to have some good ideas!

@@impossibleconrad hey I'm not Greg and I'm also new to this, but I have been checking my ideas against Etsy to see if anyone is actually already in that niche, I know Greg mentions this in a few of his videos, so I have been assuming that if the niche is graded A and I can find that theme on Etsy or elsewhere, that it should be a good idea to work with (Etsy shows exactly how many sales each shirt has, as long as im reading it correctly anyway lol)
Hi Greg, I have a question about Merch Informer. I tried the 3 day trial and I searched around 50 niches, most of them getting B ratings, and 6 or 7 A ratings. What concerns me is that it seems that MI will give any unexplored niche an A rating, even if it's something no one will search for, like something too specific. I might out my own idea like this, but I need an answer so I'll say one of the results that got an A rating: "Stealth Archer". MI found no or next to none proudcts related to it, and it got an A rating, even though it is probably way too specific to even be a niche. Stealth Archer is another name for a player class in RPG games, synonyms of which are Rogue, Thief, Ranger etc... Basically, my question is: Des MI Competition Checker ONLY check for competition, or does it analyze the niche marketing possibilities to some extent as well?
Hi Greg. I've been using Merch Informer's Competition Checker as you suggested. But I'm wondering about other tools for keyword research on it. Also, the grade system is great, but I've seen some youtubers talk about looking at the BSR and est. Sales figures even if it's an A. What do you think about that? If you're selling products other than tshirts, is it still useful? Because I've only seen tshirts shown as the results there. Thanks a ton.
Greg, if we think of a niche that has a really high traffic, does it means our design has a higher probability to be viewed and maybe even purchased rather than just considering that there are too much competitions going on that particular niche?
Hi Greg! Great video like always! I have a question... Name of the store front in Teespring should be a specific niche? What if i want to add designs that are not related to the niche? Does it mean i have to open different store fronts?
Hi Greg, you are one of the best POD trainers in RU-vid. Thank you for sharing with us so many valuable informative topics completely for free. I have one question, please reply or make a video on this topic.. If i start my teespring account with 2 or 3 niche specific storefronts, then do i need to make 2 or 3 instagram accounts to promote them individually? Or is there any way i can use the same Instagram account to promote all three different store fronts simultaneously.. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help.. 😊🙏
Hi Greg, Shipping cost is $15. Why would customers buy a tshirt from print on demand sites? Can we target US market while being in Australia? Is there any Australian print on demand site? TIY.
hey do you mind showing us some of your designs? you must have some old ones that are no longer selling that well that you don't mind sharing would be fun to see your thinking behind them how long time they took to make what kind of software you used etc.
LOVING these videos brother!! Thank you so much for being my BIGGEST inspriation in starting my online business ventures! I know its important to have niche storefronts in Teespring... But with Merch By Amazon and Redbubble can you just upload any and ALL designs under one account with said MBA and Redbubble??
Greg do you have any tips do get an invite from Merchonamazon ? I already applied 2 times and didn't get accepted. Should I start new email adresses and keep applying with different accounts ?
Hey thanks for asking! If you havent seen the video I made on it on the channel, I'll link it here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sKP0AOVbiq8.html but win the meantime I'd keep applying with new emails :)
Hi Greg! You have wonderful videos. You got me started in this as well! Merchfinder is providing graphics+single interface tool for 19.99$ I guess. How are these tools and are they useful? Also, is POD sustainable for steady income if we print A LOT of tees with good content?
Hi Greg! I am a struggling online entrepreneur (but successful at traditional business) and I recently found your channel. Subscribed and liked all vids - excellent content!! I am very excited about POD as I am looking to build a long term business. I have been immersed in your vids to the point I'm starting to confuse myself. Do you have any personal coaching or review programs? I have looked around but haven't seen anything so far. I have set up my 3 accounts and am ready to get going, so if you have any kind of programs I'd appreciate you pointing me in the right direction. I look forward to hearing from you. ~Sean
Greg, sorry I've missed a few despite seeing the notifications. I need to do some polo shirts and button-down shirts for a client. Where would I find that type of inventory? Is it doable?
Greetings Greg! I've been watching your videos a lot to start my POD journey :) and I searched for some alternatives like Merch Titans. Do you know about this one? If so, do you recommend it? As I see it's very similar to Merch Informer and allows me to pay with Paypal (I don't have a credit card) and it's around 10 usd per month.
Good day Greg, quick question! Thing is, I've been screenshotting for images from Amazon as you instructed but it sounds like Sitestripe should be the way to go? I haven't applied for Amazon Associates yet because I wanna try to put out more content before application. Or should I just apply for it right now? Thank you so much for your guides! 😁👍
Hey thanks for asking! Yes, you can apply for it right away :) It's actually very easy to get accepted to amazon associates (it's the 90 day review that gets most people). Just for more insight, you have 90 days from being accepted to get 3 affiliate sales and have 10 pieces of content to keep you account open. In regards to the site stripe, yes I use both actually. The site stripe is super easy to use code for the image if you have your site setup to do it that way. It's an HTML box essentially. I totally support the sitestripe image method :)
@@GregGottfried Thank you so much for the reply Greg! Can I ask one more quick question? I notice that in your first WIX guide video, you made a category for Reviews but in the second WIX guide, you instead made it into Accessories. My question is that, are Review posts still beneficial or are Top Lists posts the way to go?
Hey Greg thanks for including the free options! I can't get a credit card as yet so I'm glad there's something to help me until I can. Do you know any free sites for placing designs on t shirt models to advertise?
Hey Greg, I love your channel! It’s great info. I am exploring both of these for a shirt niche and KWfinder is gives me a good score while Merch Informer is giving the niche a “D”. If I put the term in quotes then it’s gives a score of A. I’m not sure what to make of it.
I've been using Merch Informer (through your link BTW) and noticed sometimes it will give an A rating to a niche but the example best sellers are irrelevant. Should I ignore that, what do you think Greg?
Hey, I have a question concerning Merch Informer. If you input some random gibberish into the competition checker, it will always give you A grade. So how reliable is it really?
Thank you for the great Video !! I would like to take your opinion about Spreadshirt and what so you think about it? Is this Website Like Teespring or more Like Printful with the Marketing of the Designs ?
Hey! Thank you for all the amazing content. My card is getting declined, tried both my cards for registering with merch informer. Could you please suggest?
Hi Greg thanks for the info but I tried the Competition Checker on Merch informer with some rare words that nobody would search or there's no products with these words and still get an A grade. Is there something on Merch informer like KWfinder that tells us about the number of searches as well? This grading system in Competition Checker seems to show just how rare the keyword is. But according to your old video, a successful niche should be a keyword/niche that's not popular with a lot of products but still has enough searches from users.
Greg, why would Merch by Amazon reject small tier designers with the Human Tragedy policy for 9/11 designs but allow large tiered designers to sell them?
