After replacing all the usual suspects for a water leak (seals and bellow) was still having water rapidly coming into the boat. Double checked all the work but still couldn’t locate. Was about at my wits end when eureka I found it, a hole in the actual gimbal housing. Hope this helps, good luck.

There is one epoxy that is approved by the coast guard for fixes like this. It’s called Belzona 1111. It is not cheap, but it is the only epoxy that approved for hull repairs. The navy uses it too.

Best of luck. As I explained in the video I’ve found cracks in the actual gimbal housing itself more than once and that’s not in salt water conditions. If you’re in salt I’m sure it’s even more likely. Years ago I also found a hole in the U pipe that connects the exhaust system to the gimbal housing on the inside. Had to pull the motor to get to it, was a real bitch to figure out. Filling the boat with water from the inside is the best way to rule things out. In that instance it would take on water while running on the muffs which was a huge clue.
